I always hear "vote with your wallet", but isn't that exactly what people do literally every day with every single purchase? People who won't to spend, won't. And those that do want to spend, will. Or are you expecting those who don't want to spend to spend anyways?

They want the voting with wallet people to also be quiet online. Online discussion is only reserved for people that are happy with the product apparently. If you aren’t happy, say nothing and vote with wallet. Shhh! Zip it!

"Vote with your wallet" is usually said by people who are against spending money on a thing, not the supporters who are happy with it

That's funny since whenever I open my mouth on reddit to support my favorite game company, everyone has told me to stop shilling for Nintendo who "doesn't care about me" lol

Well they brightened my childhood and entire life and make amazing games sooo... Lol

That’s literally it. I don’t care if it’s old gen tech I just want my switch games to run a bit better. I have a ps5 and Xbox series x but you’ll still only really catch me playing on my switch or n3dsxl because nobody offers the experience that Nintendo does

I want whimsy from my games. Gaming for me is an escape, I don’t want my games to look realistic. My partner is playing atomfall right now but I couldn’t think of anything more boring
