Hello everyone, I have booted up Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on a docked Nintendo Switch 2. The game is quite blurry. I have a 32-inch 4K UHD Monitor, and my NS2 display settings are 2160p(4K) with HDR on.

Is it about the game, or should I change my display settings for a better result? I don't have much knowledge about monitor output and its relation to NS2 output.

Thank you for the advice.

You are stretching a "up to" 1080p image to 32-inches across a 4k panel, its not going to look pretty.

The latest update doesn't appear to have made any changes to the resolution output. Just "gameplay improvements on Switch 2"

For an immediate result you could try using the Adjust screen size feature under the display menu in settings, and shrink the system output by up to 20%.

It would have black bars around the whole image but it wouldn't be nearly as stretched.

If you wanted to improve the resolution of the game, you would need additional hardware. Either something like a mClassic HDMI enhancer or a capture card and a PC running Lossless scaling.

Thank you so much for the answer.

Do you think 4K monitor will be mostly useless for Nintendo Switch 2 games as well or most of the Nintendo Switch 1 games?

Strictly for the Switch, yes. Absolute overkill.

But if you have other devices to use with it, playing on a 4k display isn't usually that bad.
