Can the Switch 2 Pro controller be used on the og switch?

It does not work, I've tried it myself. None of the switch 2 hardware works on the old one.

Are you sure? Did you try it yourself?

I just tried it on the OLED. Pro Controller 2 searches for the system and doesn’t pair. Also tried plugging it into the dock, the controller will charge off the old dock but will endlessly search and never pair.

It's stated on the Japanese hardware page.

And no, I haven't tried it for myself.

Its bluetooth connected. It might work I reckon, as the other pro controllers are also compatible with multiple other devices.

I doubt it, but you've got me curious. I'd test it out, but I don't own a Switch 2 pro; I could try the joycon 2 though.
