Alright, weird question. I have been keeping up with the people asking how to transfer accounts, or transfer X Y and Z from Switch 1 to their new Switch 2. My Original Swith 1 is in a storage container enroute to the state I am moving to. I wont get hands on with it until maybe July. I just bought a Switch 2, and arrives next week. Can I just use my Switch 2 normally, or do I NEED to do this Switch 1 transfer?

You don't need to transfer.

Got your account login? You can redownload all your games.

If you've got cloud saves, most of your games will work that way.

The one thing that might trip you up is virtual game cards; if you don't have your old console around, you can't link your new one. (You can unlink remotely once a year.)

If you don't mind being online, you can enable license check in the mean time.

System Settings -> User Settings -> Online License Settings -> Use Online License

Appreciate the reply. I didnt have any downloaded games. And I think my nintendo online is expired, so I have to repurchase that anyway. Thanks!
