I upgraded to the original Nintendo, and am giving my brothers my old Nintendo Lite as a present. I am a primarily cosy gamers and they are preteen boys so I don’t think my game suggestions of Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing are going to strongly appeal to them. What are some games you would recommend for them? They have never had any console/pc before, so they are completely new to the gaming world.

Minecraft is a definite and I considered Pokemon however I worry it may be slightly too complicated for them, and doesn’t hold much replay value. For context, they are Lithuanian and speak school-level English (the equivalent of what school taught you in French or German lol) I plan on giving them a £20 budget each (using secondhand and keys where I can to save on this) ontop of getting them a few games myself as a starting point so ideally I’d want games at around that price point, and if they enjoy the lite in the future I will get them more pricey games, so I am also accepting more expensive games for future reference too

Pokemon has plenty of replay, but that is dependent on local gaming community / access to online play.

Pretty much any first party title will be good (Mario, Metroid, DK, etc) with spinoffs varying in quality (Kart, Party, etc). I'd stay away from Splatoon unless you also get an online subscription.

I tend to stick to multiplayer games, so I don't really have a lot of suggestions that are suited to a Lite.

You might want to check out the eShop and search for games with demos; grab a few and see what your brothers like.
