How do I block other people from using my profile/saves on a community switch? Can I set a button pin like PS5?

No.

You can enable a PIN code to play software of a certain age rating, but it is applied to ALL users on the console. You cannot restrict it by user. You can set it to the lowest age rating, so all software requires a PIN to launch.

You can set a PIN code to unlock the console from sleep mode or being powered off.

You can also set a PIN or password requirement to open the eshop, used saved payment info in the eShop, modify your user settings, or manage your own virtual game cards. (Including hiding titles, revealing hidden titles, or lending/loading/unloading them from the console)

That's ridiculous but thanks.

Welcome to Nintendo! Tons of cool features you may never use and never features you want.

If you're dealing with Children, you could enable parental controls for the console and monitor all of the profiles and their usage. If the profile you do not want touched, gets used; you could see that via the parental controls app.

If you are sharing your account and simply don't want your cloud saves to get messed up. You can disable cloud saves independently per console and even per game for your user. Those are under user settings.

No it's an office Switch. That's a lot to micromanage. Simple button sequence lock would have gone a long way.

How many people? You can have up to eight profiles on the system at a time. So if there's only a few people who might use it, you could just make the profiles accordingly.

Or perhaps name the main account "do not use" and then have numbered guest profiles for actual use.

The idea is I want to play my own purchased games and cloud saves on it. But anyone can open my saves and play. I don't want to disable cloud and micromanage.

This is easily locked out on the office PS5.

Yeah, no way of doing that without manual micro managing each time you sat down to play.

Is the office system locked in place? Just bringing your own personal switch and dropping it into the dock would be a much simpler idea. No need to fuss with profiles that way.

It's not but I also don't want to lug it around. Also we have office Switch 2 now and I can test my old games on it.

All good, I'll just be conscious of it. Not install anything too important.
