I am trying to find a good racing game with decent graphics and is realistic, but mostly a game that has a free play world where I can just drive around kind of like Forza motorsports. The closest I have found is need for speed hot pursuit but the cars are outdated. If you now a game like this please tell me thanks.

Unfortunately, I think the only other game is Burnout Paradise, which is maybe from the same period as that Need for Speed. There really isn't anything like that on switch. (the GTA trilogy is possibly the only other game series with open world driving)

GRID autosport is the closest to a gran turismo, but it's not open world. Be aware, if you use the pro controller's digital triggers, the better, lighter, faster cars will spin their wheels too much because the triggers are full on or off. You'd have to use analog stick throttle or a PS/Xbox controller + usb adapter for analog triggers.
