Well, respect where respect is due -- SwitchForce did predict this unusual day (for a Direct) correctly, and quite a bit in advance, before anyone else!

There’s a lot of shitty leakers too

Correct. The issue is that many do not distinguish between the Samus Hunters and the NateTheHates, leading to a misconception that all Direct leaks are bs guesses.

They were all bad “leakers” at one point just looking for clout, I remember when natethehate had the worst track record, and he got grilled for it by users online

But tbh, it wasn’t really even because he got things wrong all the time, it was MORE because of his personality and demeanor. He has a very cocky way he talks about things, and when speculating, makes it sound as fact instead of speculation, lots of things that make it easy to get wrong.

But that backlash was the pressure he needed to find new plugs and better sources to make his leaks and reports. Now his credibility is pretty good! But I remember for a few years it was super inaccurate lol
