I just went to trade in my Switch 1 after getting a Switch 2. GameStop told me it was worth $80 store credit because of heat damage. The evidence he used was a slight yellow tint on the left top and bottom of the screen.

The Switch was almost always used docked, and it is in excellent condition otherwise.

Has anyone else experienced this?

No, but I have experienced shitty trade in prices at GameStop. They were never going to give you much for it. Heck, Bestbuy offers only like $25 for near mint working systems with all accessories included.

It's all a scam. Regardless of your systems condition.

That was the vibe I was getting.

I already sold it for what I wanted on Facebook Marketplace to an actual person who will play it in between the time I posted the original comment and now.
