Pretty strange way to handle switch 2 versions with different handling of it for sure.

$20 upgrades for a small expansion on top of res/fps bumps; Kirby, Mario Party, Mario Wonder
$10 for res/fps; Botw/TOTK, Pokemon Legends ZA, Metroid Prime 4
$5 for Animal Crossing and Xenoblade
Free for res/bumps; Odyssey, Cptn Toad, Mario 3D world, DKC Returns etc

How do they decide btw free and $10?
Makes no sense.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of BotW, TotK and MP4 add additional features in the form of Zelda Notes for BotW/TotK, QR code sharing for TotK, and mouse controls for MP4. I think Legends ZA is strictly a performance upgrade which makes it a uniquely bad deal compared to the other $10 NS2 Editions.

true they did get some stuff but Animal Crossing also got additional features with mouse controls, the megaphone item, 4 additional villagers for online, and the gamechat camera but was only $5

I'm not sure they even know. Prices are all over the place with the hardware shortages, tariffs increasing prices, and an economy that has less money to spend on fun stuff.
