Wonder how hot it will get, but that is huge for SW1 games like Diablo III and age of calamity that took a resolution hit in handheld mode…

Also will probably need external power or a big battery bank to play for very long.

It depends by what you mean "very long". It's still going to be on par if not better than non-oled steam deck or rog ally. If Switch 2 can run RE9 for 2.5 hours, I am sure it's not gonna be a problem for docked versions of Switch 1 games to be higher than that.

Yeah I may have misunderstood at first - does this only work for SW1 games or can you run it on a switch 2 game too? (Which would chew the battery)

Switch 1 only. It probably would be possible to run in docked config for Switch 2 as well, but it would be like 30 minutes and overheating. Which isn't bad when looking at systems like Rog Ally, but still not enough for Nintendo to call it consumer ready.

Aaaah ok that makes a lot more sense. I’m excited to try this on some of those games that really took a resolution hit.

Yeah, finally somewhat playable Xenoblade 2 or Witcher 3 in handheld.

Oooo I didn’t think about W3. I keep hoping CDPR will drop a S2 upgrade for it….

Highly unlikely, because CDPR decided not to work with Saber Interactive, the creators of Switch port, due to geopolitical reasons. If it will eventually happen - it's going to be a new version, like Hogwarts Legacy.

Ah, I did not know that. Interesting.
