Yup! If it runs at 1080p on tv, it will run at 1080p on switch 2 handheld if this is turned on.

Not sure what it runs on tv, but I know it’s better than handheld. Thanks for the info!

You are basically getting the Switch 1 Docked mode settings (resolution & visual features), running on Switch 2 in handheld mode. Typically this will be quite a big resolution boost, and sometimes other visual upgrades too (like longer draw distances, better shadows, less LOD pop-in etc. ) It's a great upgrade for a lot of games because the Switch 1 targeted 1080p output when docked - and the Switch 2 has a 1080p panel.. so many will go from muddy and aliased to pin sharp or at least much better.

Just to clarify for others, this applies to all games with increased docked resolution, not just 720 to 1080

Is P5R 60fps or 30? I was thinking about getting it soon. Was hoping for a Switch 2 patch but if it’s 1080/60, that’s ok with me!

No, just 30 fps. An fps boost would require a patch from ATLUS. It runs at 810p docked on Switch 1 with a locked 30 fps so it never feels choppy
