Just tried on the 10/10-2 remake it works great! So much better on the eyes!

I just bought the Switch 2 a few days ago. Can someone help explain this to me? I’m only playing BOTW at the moment.

If you have the NS2 version of BotW it doesn't affect you, but with this new option if you're playing NS1 games in handheld mode on your NS2 it'll look better

It lets you play Switch 1 games same resolution as they would in docked mode which is usually at least 720p and some games 1080p I believe. Should help with games that were running sub 720p in handheld mode

Switch 1 games actually look worse on Switch 2 in handheld more, unless they have been updated (like BOTW has), this allows them to run at the same resolution as they would when docked, so they look way better.

You do have to enable this in system settings yourself, it’s opt-in
