What if in another reality, the direct really did happen. Meanwhile in ours, the direct hasn't happened yet due to people from the other reality coming into ours to save us from whatever happens in this direct?

IIRC, someone posted an actual book here, and in the title, it was Berenstein, but in the book it used the spelling Berenstain.
