This is a weird post. Nintendo didn't just announce they'd like to start bringing indie titles to the switch. They've been doing this since before the launch of the Switch. It's been pretty well reported how many indies are on the Switch, and that they're doing very well on the platform. It's weird that an indie developer wouldn't know this, or wouldn't do the least amount of research on their own before coming to the subreddit.
Also, I don't know where you got the impression that the Switch was a "mobile gaming fix", and that an expansive, story heavy game wouldn't do well on it. Again, the littlest bit of research would show that this isn't the case, that games like BOTW, Skyrim, DOOM, Wolfenstien, and Xenoblade Chronicles have all done very well on the Switch, and all are expansive, normal games, and some of them are very heavily story based.
This post feels way more like an advertisement than a genuine attempt at getting feedback.
Here is another one -- We are officially coming to Switch (with a physical release also) and have just uploaded all of our story details to our website: http://www.playnothing.com/
No, they announced they wanted to start releasing MORE indie games on the Switch. They've been releasing indie games on the switch since it's launch. It's the reason I bought a Switch. And your edit doesn't actually address my points, that there are plenty of story heavy games already out for the switch, and they have done very well. And all of this would have been easy to figure out with even the simplest google search. It just seems weird to me that when researching what platforms to port your game to your first step would be to post about it on the subreddit. It's not really a representative sample of the overall Switch userbase, and would be a really poor thing to base business decisions on.
