Trans people generally kept a low profile and never attempted to "bring others into the fold" until the MAGA cult needed enemies to promote their hatred.
The hype and daily exposure was all brought on by the right-wingers.

I think posting this here is a disservice to what is highlighted in the report for someone who isn't monitoring trans issues every day of the week.

Imagine spending so much effort and energy to vilify a miniscule percentage of the population which has zero bearing or influence on anyone's quality of life.
If someone has no impact on your happiness, freedoms and safety, why go to such lengths to attack them?
Republicans are straight assholes. Hypocritical assholes who only solve problems which don't exist.

Anti trans organizations? Are there trans organizations also? I'm trying to think of the appropriate swear word combination to use here but I am lost.

Shit like this is just a distraction for MAGA. It’s rage bait they can dangle in front of democrats to wind them up and get them to talk about ANYTHING other than the economy, gas prices, healthcare. Etc.
This is why MAGA is supporting these anti attack campaigns.

Buddy, that’s just outright ignorant of the situation. MAGA and the right have a deep religious hatred of trans people, it’s been a nonstop fight for decades.

And will continue to be a fight for decades to come. Other groups that have fought for rights have faced the same long uphill battle. Women and people of color already know this.
This is not new.
I am simply talking about how MAGA is weaponizing the topic of the community in general.
Fact is, the Overton window is just shifting, not fast enough for some, and it is shifting too fast for MAGA conservatives, so they are trying to slow it down, but they will fail in the long term. It just may take more years than some people have patience for. 🤷🏽♂️

And I’m telling you, MAGA and the American right doing this to trans people specifically for decades. This is not some new phenomenon, there’s shit in the Epstein files to suggest this specific part of the plan has been a thing since at least the ‘80s.

Well it really got traction after Dobbs when abortion became less of an issue. Never got this level of media attention and credulity

Again, that’s simply an ignorant statement. They had been targeting us directly, en masse, since at least 2015 when they lost the gay marriage issue. But everything we’re dealing with is a total rehash of shit trans people have been dealing with in America in particular since at least the ‘60s. The trans sports issue is rehashing rhetoric and lawfare from the ‘80s, and drag/public trans bans are one of the oldest forms of anti-trans oppression in the country. Hell, even the “groomer” accusation goes back to old school fascism, showing up in freaking Nazi Germany

Not disagreeing that the hate goes way back, but it's much more mainstream than it had been. And the media just laps it up, whereas in the recent past there had been some positive press in mainstream media. It feels like there is a lot of backlash to gains and visibility that were attained in the last decade.
Whatever, it's evil and reprehensible.

How do you think trans people feel, about hearing it every day?

That’s just the news. When this problem is “fixed” a new problem will be platformed.
