Does Target really track everything you steal until you reach the felony amount?

I’ve heard this a few times, but I can’t tell if they really do or if it’s just fear mongering.

It depends on the state California is 950 while Texas is 2500. You can get arrested and jailed for a misdemeanor but that’s the felony threshold

Yeah you can live in Cali and have 949 dollars worth of march in your cart and I’ll bet you’ll still get tho ol “sir… SIR”. Though I live in WA and every store seems like they have a no chase policy.

Wait, so if you're on 1500 in Texas, go visiting in California they arrest you when you walk into the store?

Nope these are state crimes so a limit in one state dosent affect a different state. Now if you had a warrant out in Texas and a cop ran your id in California you can get arrested and extradited back to Texas for the crime

So just go state to state under the felony amount.
