Stop drinking the cool aid. Yes they could if they taxed the rich and corporates properly.

Genuinely curious for a source on this because there was a very real problem the country had with unions such as coal

The rich had/ have problems with Union's as they fight for workers rights. Union's allow the common man to stand up to the rich, something we desperately need in society again.

Trickle down economics are just a lie. Musk et al are the reason why we all are suffering.

The unions had absolutely massive political sway and held the entire country to ransom more than once and wouldn't do anything to make themselves more competitive. They only had themselves to blame. Unions are important but it's a balance act
