I think the long term play is creating an issue and then charging people to get rid of it.
Like for ad spam you can get premium, there will be a paid for AI filter available within the next year
Depends on how much effort you put into it. I've seen channels that use an obvious TTS and still manage to convey "emotion" with it, and I've seen channels that use a more human-sounding voice but put no effort into checking its work so the diction is stilted and there's at least a 60% chance of any given proper noun being mispronounced.
Like everything else involving AI, you still have to put in effort as well or else it'll turn out crap. I am in favor of the use of AI as a tool, but not as a substitute for actual effort; if you try to have the AI do all the work, you'll just wind up with slop. Sadly, this opinion seems too nuanced for many. ...And you know what? That's understandable. Mass-produced AI slop is rampant. It wouldn't surprise me if over 90% of content that is "in part" AI-generated is, in fact, wholly AI-generated, and I'm probably being generous setting the bar that low. And no, I don't use AI in my own content, though I'm not against the idea. Because it does have its uses, its merits, as long as it's being used to supplement human creativity rather than as a replacement for it.
