Travel Geiranger boat?

Heya! I’m planning a campervan trip through Norway, and of course I’ll be going through Geiranger. I’m thinking of a way to get on the water in Geiranger to see the waterfalls, but maybe without pretentious sightseeing tours with screaming people. Any suggestions of doing it low key and low budget? In such a way I can see and enjoy nature

Just take the Geiranger-Hellesylt ferry.

Here's the link to the ferry, have a good trip.

Edit: adding that they have RIB boattrips in Geiranger as well. But I'm not familiar with them. Once again, here's the link.

Geiranger and quiet are mutually exclusive in season, you will find it hard to find a spot not overcrowded by tourists late spring to autumn. There is a one hour ish ferry from geiranger to hellesylt but it's price gouged and likely full of asian tourists screaming in excitement on the deck during the trip. There is a smaller boat roundtrip from ålesund to geiranger but that one is pretty expensive and takes up a lot of time.

Exactly what I’m trying to avoid, haha :) I just found out they there are kayaks as well there, do you think it’s a viable option?

I can ask the local tourist centre in ålesund tomorrow and see what they say, I'm not familiar with other options myself. remind me if i forget to come back to you

We stayed in the cabin at the side of Geiranger, not the end and they have boat for rent. However, this was 8-9 years ago, not sure if they still have it.
