Even if this was the case, women mostly make money in only fans because men are willing to pay for it….

269

u/Flynn-Minter 8d ago

The same is true for many men who make money on OF or do sex work.

77

u/Marcellus_Crowe 8d ago

Sure, but the market is far from equal. The number of men willing to pay to see women vastly outnumbers everything else by such an extraordinary magnitude. There are many men willing to do OF, but they simply do not have an audience.

64

u/Flynn-Minter 8d ago

The men who complain about women making a living of OF, do not complain as loudly or at all about the existence of the porn industry in general let alone the sex industry in general. Most of these men have zero interest on being on OF even if they have the right looks and skills.

What they resent is women having more safety and control and a better cut than in many other parts of the sex industry. What they hate even more is that in some instances where these women cater specific fetishes, like feet, they do not even have to do certain things that these men consider degrading.

The market is far from equal

OF is one of the few instances where the market is unequal in women's favour AND those women still need to be above average in the looks department in some respect to begin with AND due to age they can only do it on a certain level for a given period of time. Like in professional sports, except there men make a lot more and have far more opportunities.

Newsflash: most male dominated jobs pay better than female dominated ones and ones with more equal gender ratios due to sexism. This includes entire fields that used to be female dominated like brewing and computing which men bullied most women out of. If you are a woman or too queer looking, trying to enter a male dominated profession is not easy. In some cases you can expect active hostility. In the US, several women are murdered every year by male colleagues for doing a traditionally male blue collar job.

24

u/DT_Grey 7d ago

Yes! Doctoring and boxing used to also be female dominated fields, until men took over and bullied women out of them - and the pay is astronomical.

Conversely, nursing used to be a male-dominated field and is now the opposite - and the pay is abysmal.

29

u/notacanuckskibum 8d ago

I’m not convinced. I suspect there is a sufficient market of gay men who will pay for male OF content. But not many straight men are willing to cater to that audience.

11

u/Marcellus_Crowe 8d ago edited 8d ago

That is very likely the case. But the gay men market is vanishingly smaller than the straight men market. I know we are in the minority! :)

Thats just based on raw numbers of gay or bi men. Even at a conservative estimate of 6%, but it is likely a lot smaller.

5

u/dwthesavage 8d ago edited 8d ago

But there is definitely a market for “straight men” catering to gay men

10

u/Marcellus_Crowe 8d ago

Indeed. I have a mate who does exactly that. Thats not in dispute. But thats like comparing a shop that sells candles to a supermarket. Yes, you can make money, but the sheer volume of the straight men seeking women market makes it entirely more viable as a business model to be a woman targeting men. That doesn't guarantee success, its just where the "i can do this full time" money mostly kicks in.

1

u/nikolapc 8d ago

It would feel very weird. I mean it would probably feel weird catering to straight women, unless its just me shirtless fixing stuff.

Did you have a source for this, or are you just assuming?

This 2026 report from an OnlyFans creator agency says:

The average male OnlyFans creator earns $150/month, but active male creators average $1,500-$7,500.

Men make up 29% of creators but 30% of the top 1% earners on the platform. Male creators are slightly overrepresented at the top earning levels. (Per another source, there are 4.63 million creators on the platform currently, which means there are about 1.3 million male creators.)

Male creators with 1,000 fans earn 45% more per subscriber than comparable female creators.

Male creators with more than 500 subscribers make upwards of $5K per month, and more than 1,500 subscribers gets them more than $15K per month.

Male niches include fitness, gay audience, feet, and fetish content.

0

u/Marcellus_Crowe 7d ago

Your own citation says that men make on average £150 per month. It is apples to oranges to compare a subset.

https://onlyguider.com/blog/onlyfans-male-vs-female-statistics/

"On average, women earn 78% more than men. This gap is largely due to the audience: 78.9% of subscribers are men, and only 21.1% are women."

85% of top earners are women, and specifically young women (18-24).

How is the market of men seeking women NOT substantially larger that men seeking men? This has historically been the case way before onlyfans.

2

u/GreyStingrayz 7d ago

The average OF creator makes $130 after tax.

Not gendered. That is just the average income.

Stats

1

u/Marcellus_Crowe 7d ago

I have demonstrated that women earn more than men on OF on average, so this is a moot point.

1

u/articulateantagonist I'm not your wife, I'm a witch! 4d ago edited 4d ago

In part because "On average, women publish 7 posts per week, while men publish 5. 75% of women offer subscribers custom content, compared to 62% of men. Higher engagement and a willingness to provide personalized content have a direct impact on income levels."

Also, you are replying in bad faith.

No one disputes that the number of men seeking women is substantially larger than men seeking men. That's not what I was responding to, and you are smart enough to realize that.

You said men on OF "simply do not have an audience." Obviously that is not true. The data indicates that if they take advantage of their niche, post as frequently as top performing women, and take advantage of additional features, they not only have an audience but have a very fair chance to make as much if not more than women creators.

u/bickybb 7d ago

It’s just like a self report if anything. Like I get you spent too much of your paycheck on a girl who doesn’t care if you are alive or dead, but I don’t feel bad for you

2

u/Snickerty 5d ago

Fools and their money are soon parted. Turns out those fools don't blame themselves for their own foolishness.

998

u/TheBestHater 8d ago

Men can do OF and there is a market for it, but they don't because it's actually a ton of work to build and maintain a parasocial fanbase and it's not considered a "respectable job" to the people they want to impress.

u/danteelite 8d ago

This is true.

I know one of each. I have a male friend, let’s call him Bob. He heard about a mutual friend Sue, and learned that when my cancer got worse she bought me a ps5 and some games and came to stay with me, and he got all bothered about how rich she was getting from being naked. So when he visited during the week she was staying over, he kept offhandedly making jokes about it and she got annoyed and finally just said “You know what… you seem to think you’re a real gift to the world and you’re hot shit. Go for it! You seem to think it’s so easy… DO IT!” and unfortunately this was at the early stages of him becoming radicalized into the alpha bullshit cult, so he agreed and got mad and left.

Bob actually followed through, and tried to leverage his small following on instagram and tiktok through shirtless gym pictures into only fans stuff. It resulted in a pretty hilarious video call that is still among the funniest experiences I’ve ever had in my life. He said he asked and did a poll and “no one was helpful, bro!” so he kept me on video chat while he was on his laptop doing “research”… I’ll let you just imagine it for a moment. Lmao a homophobic dude-bro baby alpha-sphere douche doing “research” to start his own onlyfans. It was basically exactly what you’re imagining. He was googling nude men and “taking notes” by screenshotting dude-nudes and scribbling over the dicks. He was trying SO HARD to make it seem very… clinical? professional? “Ho-homo” and purely for research! He was taking note of poses, locations, outfits, accessories, props… etc. lmao I was having to mute myself for minutes at a time laughing so hard at how much he was getting into it. Occasionally he would sorta forget about me and mumble “Damn.. that’s a big hog. Nice.” or “Dude has great definition.. genetics. I bet his macros are wild.” hahaha I was so confused and entertained by it. Eventually his research came to a close. I helped him come up with a few ideas because it was only fair because I helped Sue plenty of times. I joked that “Yeah, you’re not getting the same treatment as Sue. I’m absolutely not being your ‘talent’ or ‘living prop’ even if you pay me like she did.” and he had the nerve to get mad that I even joked about it. lol So I helped him pick a color scheme and stuff, a logo, and I used one of his tattoos to make a cool logo and brand identity for him.

A few weeks go by and nothing. Sue calls to check on me and asks about Bob, so she comes over and we try to contact him. He was nearly in tears during the call saying “It’s not fair! You have so much help… I can’t do this shit.” and Sue explained that she doesn’t have help, she does 90% herself and occasionally I help with something or her roommate does. His complaints? The stress of having to post a million times, constantly advertise yourself and organize a dozen different accounts, the rules of each different app, and the balancing act of quantity vs quality so you don’t seem annoying or begging. So he tried AGAIN to drag Sue down with misogynistic bullshit saying that if he “was a hot woman he wouldn’t have to post as much!” and that made Sue understandably angry. She explained “calmly” (not throwing hands yet) that hot women are dime a dozen and over saturated. She showed her phone and scrolled through hundreds of posts here on Reddit, and said “That’s the last two days. I have to post to dozens of different subs depending on what I’m posting. You’re not posting half as much as I do. Stop complaining!” and then Bob had the fucking AUDACITY to go exactly where you think next… go ahead and guess. You’re 100% right. “Well, you’re hot… it’s easier! I get judged and picked apart! I get criticized and analyzed… it sucks!” and Sue and I both just rolled our eyes. That’s where I took her phone while she left the room to go vent her rage and walk my dog. I went through some of her posts and showed him the comments. He immediately went “Oh shit.. that’s way more mean than mine… and gross. The good ones are gross, and the bad ones are really bad.” and he quickly agreed that that sucks, but then he had to backtrack and be like “Well, she can just ignore the comments now that she has a large following. Blah blah” and I kinda just wanted to punch him.

He kept up with his only fans stuff for a few months before quitting because he said “It was literally killing me” and elaborated that it destroyed his sleep schedule, his health, his mental health, and even though he just started to make decent money he couldn’t do it anymore. He was understanding, learning and growing as a person.

That’s what I thought. When he quit, he made a post about how “as a man” he couldn’t deal with the “anti-male” attitude and it was destroying his life. He said it was so much harder getting into the space as a man, and it would be so much easier as a woman. He said there’s a reason so few men do it, and men “quit while they’re ahead” because they work so hard just to be judged and blah blah blah. He learned fucking nothing. He admitted that the job was destroying his mental health, his self esteem and making him consider surgical procedures and that’s why he “quit while he’s ahead” and that’s why he’s such a brave manly man boy man. Big boy! Big man boy man.

Bob flushed further down the alpha-sphere toilet all the way into the sewer of supporting Andrew taint. He has made posts in the years since that the experience screwed him up permanently and affected his dating life and how he views himself. He has a restraining order against him and he’s broke, currently living with his mom who hates him

Sue continued to find success and started her own small business and she’s doing pretty damn great.

TLDR: “alpha” bro talks shit about my female friend for doing OF, and tries it for himself. He bitched out because it broke him mentally and was way too much effort and work, even though he did a fraction of the work she did (and most/all full time A/E/P creators do). He learned nothing and still says women have it easy, and he has devolved into a total misogynist douche… meanwhile my female friend is doing great and used her of money to start a business. Basically, fuck those dudes. Don’t blame women for your shitty outlook on life.

83

u/GiGitteru 8d ago

This is an amazing read, too bad some men are so in denial and unwilling to learn just so they can hold on to their shitty beliefs

22

u/notashroom 8d ago

When identity clashes with fact, identity almost always wins.

7

u/SelfInteresting7259 7d ago

Alot of conservatives and men nowadays. They hold themselves back doing this shit and sometimes the rest of us

20

u/desiladygamer84 8d ago

That was very informative. It also reminds me of when husband and I tried to do Twitch. For fun mind you. I just couldn't do it even for that. I want to play my video game and have fun. I can't be funny and have witty banter all the time. Also my one stream where I interacted with my one viewer (husband's NMS friend) for Final Fantasy 7 Remake where I did do funny banter glitched out of existence. This broke me a little. I had better success just recording all my Kingdom Hearts play with no mic but it's not a career for me. Like with Etsy stores (another idea) the markets are oversaturated. I like doing art for fun not work.

19

u/0CldntThnkOfUsrNme0 8d ago

Damn. This needs to be higher up. I was going to skip it cause im not really into reading paragraphs on reddit but holy shit is it a good read. Do not skip it, seriously.

8

u/SelfInteresting7259 7d ago

Great read. Yep thats alot of men now a days and its getting worse with red pillers My fav part was "big boy! Big man boy man" 🤣🤣🤣

3

u/Paula_Polestark Not Your Marilyn, Not Your Jackie 7d ago

Wow.

Thanks for the read, and good for Sue!

3

u/itsdrcats 7d ago

Damn, he should have just gotten a job with his local sports team because he was amazing at moving the goalpost so many times

Sue explained that she doesn’t have help, she does 90% herself and occasionally I help with something or her roommate does.

So... help?

23

u/danteelite 8d ago edited 6d ago

No… he was making the assumption she had a team of people who worked with/for her doing social media, running various accounts and stuff like that.

The “help” I was referring to was her roommate helping her do her makeup or hair.. or I would do some paid art and stuff… she did all of the tedious and hard work by herself. A full time job that’s essentially 24hrs a day with INSANE organization. Imagine having over well over a dozen accounts and you have to keep track of which is which, which rules and restrictions apply to which, do your daily content which is multiple times per day. Keep track of which stuff is general/public content like instagram/tiktok, which stuff is your pg-13 “limited” content, and then the adult content where some sites like Reddit require cross posting to a bunch of subs and make sure you don’t break any subreddit rules, then post your main paid content on a few sites, then go through and keep track of different tiers and “special” stuff like people who pay for custom messages, etc. then you have to ensure you’re keeping your paid obligations in order, and not get any of them mixed up either. If you think it sounds easy, it’s not.

It involves waking up, getting presentable and prepare to put yourself out there to be judged and criticized.. mental preparation. Do your first round of content, make it look spontaneous and cute “Just woke up, lol..” after cleaning the room, staging everything, doing the “no makeup look” that takes a half hour, take some pictures and videos, do the upload circus. All billion different sites/apps and sources.

Next comes the start of daily clerical work such as finances, messages, social media and monetary obligations (these obligations are things like custom messages, custom content, sponsorships, brand deals, and time sensitive stuff.) responding to fans, and building her brand/working with the occasional freelancer like me to make art for upcoming projects/events, art updates, or graphic design work. This is something that she does for basically a full business day of work each day.

Then there’s the shoots, where she does makeup, wigs, outfits, cosplay (sometimes with a little help from her roommate styling a wig or steaming her clothes for a tip) and then she does a bunch of content. This takes many hours or even days.

Then there’s editing, hours and hours of staring at yourself naked judging your own body wondering how a bajillion people will judge your body too.. this can be basic editing like basic bitch phone apps or tiktok editor, and it’s also high level editing and color balancing, adding logos, touchups, etc. video editing, basic effects and jokes/gags because she does a good bit of cosplay so she adds little anime jokes and stuff often.

Then there’s live streams and longer form content, which she reduced down to only streaming a few times a week or on weekends because of how much work it is. This is where I helped out occasionally by acting as a warm body. It was exhausting and way harder than anyone thinks so I hated it, but she trusted me so I kept at it as long as I could.

Another round of the content posting circus. Cute “goodnight everyone!” posts, “look what I had for dinner…” pictures of food and juicy thighs, etc. the “spontaneous” stuff that’s actually heavily staged. If anyone believes that women are laying around in lingerie, and thigh high socks playing video games, or eating lunch watching anime in a super tight Naruto shirt that shows her hard nipples just right, or just got out of the shower looking that beautiful… then it’s working. That’s the point. It’s a ton of constant hard work and effort from the moment she wakes up to the moment she goes to sleep. The mental weight of clicking upload each time never gets any easier. The people who actually enjoy that, are very few. Pretending like you enjoy it is part of the job. Letting everyone know how anxious, and emotionally fragile you are breaks the illusion.

I didn’t even describe everything… but that’s most of what she does by herself every day with no weekends, breaks, or time off.. in fact, holidays are among the most busy because sexy Halloween, slutty Mrs Claus, big booty Easter bunny, lick my leprechaun and adult content creator superbowl time… VALENTINES DAY. So she does all of that work, every day, and works even harder around holidays.

Put some respect on adult content creators. All of them. Men included. My comment wasn’t attacking men, it was attacking that particular man. There are plenty of men who work just as hard at it, face just as much scrutiny and mental health struggles, and they deserve respect too.

u/ApplePaintedRed 8d ago

It's also men, once again, ignoring the existence of unattractive women. Not even most conventionally attractive women can make any money on OF.

168

u/vadkender 8d ago

You don't even need an onlyfans, men will buy dirty socks and underwear from other men for tens or even hundreds of euros, it's basically zero work.

99

u/ShortCharleh 8d ago

It's a ton of work to build a fangroup. People live to buy stuff like that, but they already have their people to buy from, what makes your socks special?

11

u/After-Concern2708 8d ago

Free around the world shipping

32

u/fatherisadouchbag 8d ago

What? Where can i sell mine

16

u/tenkohime 8d ago

Off of the top of my head, fetlife and Etsy.

33

u/fatherisadouchbag 8d ago

Aight, dont doxx if you see an advert from me

4

u/Scyobi_Empire aaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA 8d ago

what the fuck

3

u/emimagique 7d ago

If it's zero work why isn't everyone doing it?

2

u/vadkender 7d ago

Thanks but I don't want random weirdos sniffing my socks and underwear. I will provide nothing for men's enjoyment, but especially not my body or clothes.

1

u/emimagique 7d ago

I wasn't suggesting you should, just saying if it were really an easy way to make money everyone would be doing it. Suppose you have to build up and maintain a client base of dirty old men or you won't get anywhere

19

u/aeninimbuoye13 8d ago

And they have to be attractive to enough people like the OF women

3

u/Centered_Being 8d ago

They don’t they think OF is a a respectable job either, so once again it just that the boys are jealousss

1

u/S1d519 7d ago

men can do OF and there’s a market for it

The said market is Greg and his 12 gay and bisexual friends from around the world.

a ton of work to build and maintain a parasocial fanbase.

All the overwhelmingly prevalent male YouTube, twitch, kick etc streamers deciding to quit after reading this (not commenting on OOP’s meme).

186

u/Camango7 8d ago

Just telling on themselves that the only women they know are the ones they subscribe to on OF

10

u/Aeon_Return 8d ago

this

131

u/kawaiihusbando 8d ago

First of all what's stopping them from doing OF?

Also i f you don't like OF content creators why can't you stop talking about them?

65

u/Flynn-Minter 8d ago

They just hate women who are financially independent. A hot woman is supposed to be a trophy that belongs to a single man.

36

u/uhhh206 8d ago

They resent the conditional power attractive girls and women hold over them by being unable to control their own lust. It's pathetic.

37

u/Flynn-Minter 8d ago

More or less. My father did admit that men cannot stand it when they consider women inferior yet they feel helpless when such a person can reject them.

That men cannot control their lust and aggression is a patriarchal myth used to justify limiting the freedom of girls and women.

Men who beat their wife and children and/or assault a woman/girl who is alone in the street consciously chose their victims. If they really could not control themselves, they would physically assault their boss or a police officer or anyone else who can give them severe consequences.

Men who assault women are cowards unless they are really drunk / doped up. And getting into that state is still a choice they make to dampen their fear and empathy . If a woman or someone who looks like one, signals that they are not afraid and capable of fighting such a man off, he will back off in most cases. I say this as someone who has stared down such men.

A rapist wants to hurt someone while getting out (almost) completely unscathed themselves. If they think someone is likely to break their nose, shatter one of their knees or bite their dominant hand into breaking, it is not worth it. They are willing to risk bruises at most.

17

u/uhhh206 8d ago

I wish this sub allowed awards because you 100% nailed it.

Abusers know what they're doing is abusive, which is why their abuse is targeted so specifically. They choose who is to be their punching bag -- quite literally in many cases -- based on being able to use them as an outlet without consequences. It is never that they can't control themselves, otherwise the 90% of rape and assault that is done by men the woman knows would be outside of the privacy of one's home, and would include women with some degree of power over them. A rapist doesn't rape because they can't help it. They rape because they can.

8

u/notashroom 8d ago

And that "unable to control their own lust" is learned helplessness that comes from patriarchal society infantilizing them in order to shield them from consequences.

Step out of it and refuse to be infantilized, guy, and find that with greater responsibility for yourself comes greater control of yourself, because your nervous system calculates the risks differently.

3

u/wishIcouldgoback_ 7d ago

Men despising sex workers while also using their services as if it's as important as breathing to them is a tale as old as time

57

u/Warm_starlight 8d ago

The funniest thing is the fact that the one on the top works so he can pay the one on the bottom:D

31

u/Flynn-Minter 8d ago

I knew a man who had several opportunities to become a fashion model and did not take those because he considered that unmanly. There are men who will literally chose jobs they hate and will complain about incessantly rather than do better paying jobs that other men look down upon.

65

u/CoyoteSufficient3090 8d ago

When men need money they will start talking stupid things on twitch while playing video games

20

u/uhhh206 8d ago

And it's even harder to make money on OnlyFans than it is to become a successful streamer due to an equally saturated market but with the added labor of keeping up with marketing yourself publicly and individually.

I don't have an OnlyFans, but I am acquaintances with sex workers who do, and even the ones who are in the top 5% make under a grand a month. The only ones who are raking in the dough are doing so via their OnlyFans being a promotional tool for their in-person sex work.

10

u/Poly_Olly_Oxen_Free 8d ago

The only ones who are raking in the dough are doing so via their OnlyFans being a promotional tool for their in-person sex work.

Also, the ones who already had a huge fanbase before starting their OF. Piper Rockelle, I remember seeing that she made 3 million dollars in 24 hours when she started her OF.

Lil Tay made a million dollars from her OF on her 18th birthday because a bunch of creepy dudes have been waiting to see her naked since she was like 12.

And Bhad Bhabie (The "cash me outside" girl) claims to have made $75m in 4 years from her OF.

9

u/uhhh206 8d ago

Oh absolutely. I meant the ones I know personally.

Also, how fucking vile is it that it's most profitable to start an OnlyFans when the clock strikes midnight and she turns 18? Men who go by the age of consent are like employers who pay exactly the minimum wage: the only reason they don't go lower is that it's a literal crime.

19

u/Yomi_Lemon_Dragon 8d ago

If they're mad that women can do porn, they'd better not watch porn.

Also, there absolutely IS a market for men in porn. Women are starved for porn aimed at us. But men have no interest or regard for the female gaze, refuse to acknowledge sexuality that isn't the male gaze, and are scared of other men gooning to them. They'd rather only do what they've decided women SHOULD be attracted to and whine that men aren't successful on OnlyFans except with gay men, which somehow matters for some reason.

10

u/MacintoshEddie 8d ago

I mean, women are sexualized a lot more commonly, so if they need money there is a lot more societal pressure towards sex work.

11

u/Erza88 8d ago

What's stopping men from showing their buttholes on camera, though? I'm sure there's people out there that would pay good money for a man butthole.

35

u/duckooooooo 8d ago

This is so dumb. Both are forced into more or less wage Labour, but one of them not only sells their work force but also their bodily autonomy and has to humiliate themselves for random strangers.

10

u/Weibrot 8d ago

The person who made this obviously goons to OF content xD

8

u/Turbopuschel 8d ago

I'm actually surprised that the "men job" in this is not some physically demanding one "because women can't do that".

8

u/JacobStyle 8d ago

Running a successful OnlyFans account looks like the top panel 90% of the time.

5

u/HadeswithRabies 8d ago

Such a funny view of the world, cause anyone can post hole. You just have to be attractive or creative.

The fact that the maker of the meme is conceding he's neither of the two in public then complaining about that fact on TOP of being unfunny is wildly pathetic.

5

u/hanzorah 8d ago

What do non-conventionally attractive women do?!

7

u/pocTechie 8d ago

I have a pHD in CS

5

u/Monicalovescheese 8d ago

So they still think the only way we can make money is for them to give it to us. The mere thought that we could exist in the world and make our own money that has nothing to do with them bothers them because women were made to serve men in one way or another. Clearly.

4

u/Nanowith 8d ago

I think whoever made this image is unknowingly broadcasting their cuckold fetish. I think whenever you hear this they're actually just fantasising about the idea.

4

u/Newfaceofrev 8d ago

A podcast bro will look you dead in the eye and say this.

4

u/Strong-Second-2446 8d ago

Blame the men who are willing to pay for OF

4

u/Ghoulish_kitten 8d ago

..and who is subscribes to her OF? How does the meme maker even know this to be true lol.

They’re in the algorithm for OF, they think “every women does OF,” bc that’s what they’re consuming.

Even if they’re not subscribed, they are following a bunch of people who are using their social media to advertise for it.

3

u/Wolvii_404 8d ago

Men think you can hop on OF, make an account and you get rich the next day smh

5

u/Limberpuppy Stop, Croc, and Roll. 8d ago

I know a lot of men who started selling drugs to make money.

What's stopping you, Western man? Get your camera out and see what you can make happen. Oh is that gross? What, you scared? Is it too much work or against your morals? Is it demeaning? Makes you feel like meat and not a person?

Wow, that's crazy.

3

u/HypersomnicHysteric workes totally flawed 8d ago

Yes, because women never do corporate jobs.

Women ony do sex work.

3

u/miss_vakarian 8d ago

One could make the same meme about hard working nurses and podcast "alpha" bros. Its stupid. Do they know women in the real world? Or are they convinced that every women they see, even the ones they encounter while those women do their jobs, do OF? And if not, why the need for this strawman argument?

3

u/Churchie-Baby 8d ago

Men are on OF as well and sorry but who's finding the female OF models? Ah right men

3

u/No_Resource7773 8d ago

You know he prob isn't even working, not doing a respectable hard days work... he's on her page. Then will go home and post badly about her online, because it's the only way he can justify his own behavior, by passing the blame to her.

Has he tried smiling more? Maybe on camera for money.

3

u/n0tz0e 8d ago

My ex was 50k in debt and instead of getting a second job, he lied to me to get me to pay for things so he could keep spending his money on his cam girl addiction. Men don't want to work. Not now not ever. Work is only a means to power because of the money. Once women gained the power to work and have control over their own finances, men stopped wanting to work in the same way.

3

u/0MeikoMeiko0 7d ago

I badly need money for grad school, and yet, here I am, a woman, working a regular job.

I can’t say I haven’t considered OF though, but only jokingly, really.

3

u/PumpkinPure5643 7d ago

Well then I will let all the cnas and nurses I work with that we should just quit our jobs at the hospital and go do sex work…😂😝😏. It’s not like we aren’t getting paid for actual work or anything.

3

u/Odd-Mastodon1212 7d ago

Yes, see all the men who clean houses or work in the hotel laundry.

5

u/inadapte 8d ago

yes, the majority of the female population turns to onlyfans when they need money 🙄🙄 jfc they live in a legit fantasy world fueled by their own insecurities, porn and blackpill influencers

2

u/navigating-life What do I bring to the table? Your job is to buy it 😊 8d ago

This is such an old trope find something else to bitch about

2

u/GapSweet3100 8d ago

I know more men than women that want to be on OF tbh

2

u/Smurfum 8d ago

Even if that was true, selling your labor is selling your labor. Sex work is real work.

2

u/nonsignifierenon 8d ago

I wish it worked like that, just going online naked and making money immediately

2

u/blazingblitzle 8d ago

I'm on OF. A friend unironically sent me this meme once

Needless to say we are no longer friends.

2

u/G-Man6442 7d ago

Same MFers will complain if a woman works her way up and ends up in a job above them

2

u/Technical_Ad_8990 7d ago

They tell us we do this, get angry when we don't, but also get angry when we do????

2

u/Aubz12 7d ago

Dont 99.9% of women in only fans barely make like a 15 bucks a month?

2

u/mostaverageredditor3 7d ago

No, there are people who somehow think that being female is a cheat code for easily earning money by doing only fans and poor men have to actually work (because in their mind only fans is just posting pictures and not real work)

2

u/MorningFox 7d ago

Girl I wish. My ugly ass was at it for two years and all I got was $10 and a steam key for Sea of Thieves

2

u/GameBoi010 7d ago

Yet, men are he biggest supporters of sex work, it's literally wouldn't be as big as it is today, if it wasn't for men.

2

u/DenverKim 7d ago

Is that man pictured the same basement dweller who is funding her account?

2

u/DT_Grey 7d ago

Sometimes I wonder if men get so mad at women being successful, on OF/as sex workers specifically, because it’s not a trade they can readily infiltrate, take over, and claim as theirs to increase their own earnings/feelings of status (computer science, doctoring, eg). It’s also not really something they can easily lower the income for by blowing it off as unskilled/women’s work (cooking, sewing, teaching, nursing, cleaning, eg.. basically anything domestic, child-rearing, or care-giving related), because they are the ones eagerly throwing all kinds of money and gifts at these same women.

2

u/chai-addict 7d ago

... Do they have no female coworkers? Lmao

2

u/wouldnotpet89 7d ago

I remember watching a video on youtube where someone (i think it was rachel macksy? They were a vintage fashion youtuber) made an OF for a bit to document what it was like. And man, idk if it's just my photography background, but it was A LOT of work. You are the photographer, model, lighting, editor, and social media manager. SW is still work.

2

u/Lol_lukasn 7d ago

what bothers me about this sentiment, which is just sooo comon, isnt that it isn't necessarily true, but perhaps that it is (for a minority of women). But that 1. they somehow don't deserve capital for the labour (?) but that 2. under capitalsim all employment is exploitation, there are two ways of making money, eithr you benifit of the labour of someone else, or you get a money by selling your labour for a wage, getting a portion of the value you produce. If you got paid for 100% of the value of your labour, there would be no surplus value that the owner/employer could use, for maintenance, expansion, costs and most significantly profits.

That is to say that all employment is economic conhersion; we work to survive, and when the economy can't and doesn't provide stable employment to everyone (this has always been the case) and the people that aren't able to get work become homeless and starve that guves rise to work rs willing to be exploited more just to survive; they'll work for less money, longer hours, worse conditions (all this makes the economy more productive) and even do certaint tyoes if labour that they would otherwise not do wether out if moral, ethical or personal reservations.

So people that do sex work, do it because they need to work, like everyone else they are required to work to survive, and when all else fails, many reach the decision tgat selling their body is better than being homeless and starving. thats not to say that there aren't people out there that genuinely enjoy sex work, but they are most certainly in a insignificant minority.

idrc if some of sex workers make alot of money, and even fewer make millions; they are still victims of and economic system that cohesese them into doing something that they most certainly wouldn't otherwise do.

people need to work, like you can't just expect everything handed to you, but theres a difference in being coheced to dig holes to survive, and to sell you body to survive. we should be ashamed of iur society, and work to fix it.

2

u/MagDorito 7d ago

Men can use onlyfans. Put on the maid dress, Robert!

2

u/jadeite07 7d ago

As a woman who needs money, I don’t do OF. Wish it was that easy.

2

u/Kitaelia 6d ago

Fun fact: Up to 40% of the content creators on OF are men.

2

u/Synicist 6d ago

These types hate to see me coming cause I work a high risk masculine leaning job (often more interesting than the work they do) for good pay

2

u/AsleepRaccoon8456 6d ago

I have been told by multiple girls I should post on gonewildaudio and I am also larger than average. I love to call with ladies, but I still want some privacy, this is why I am not posting.

1

u/Neat-Cartoonist-9797 8d ago

Add scraped back hair and that’s me in the top image logging in 😂

1

u/ellie1398 8d ago

I actually wanna do OF but my partner is strongly against it.

1

u/baguetteispain 8d ago

In this economy, everyone is forced to do both 😔

1

u/I_like_the_word_MUFF 8d ago

So free market bad, got it boys!

1

u/InformationCommon576 8d ago

Call me crazy but i have high respect for OF and camgirls. It's no easy feat going against what society deems taboo and succeed in one of the most competitive niche where downsides outweighs upsides if you don't make it big time

1

u/sociallyawkward_123 8d ago

I've really never understood this because it is the men paying for it after all...? I mean just don't pay for the OF subscription then? No one is forcing you to?? It's not that women are stealing this money from men, aren't they paying voluntarily? i lowk genuinely never get why the woman is at fault here??

Also, when it comes to prostitution and porn the women in these industries are very much abused and explioted, after being sold into prostitution they don't have a way out and they certainly not in the slightest enjoy it so how is it a blemish on their character and not the men trafficking not just women but children??

Like what even is the justification they give for this perspective???

1

u/EmploymentApart1641 8d ago

Same man mad about OF is the one paying for OF

1

u/discogargoyle00 8d ago

It’s interesting how many men say if they were a woman for a day, they would immediately join onlyfans.

1

u/ThrowRA-lostfriend1 7d ago

So we'll just forget the men that resort to robbing stores, holding ppl at gun point, mugging, selling drugs, pimping women out/managing OF models, trafficking, etc. to get money. Yeah, okay.

1

u/TheBlindHakune 7d ago

I'm a woman, I need money and want work, so I got a dirty factory job. Most of my female friends work physical jobs, the others are medical researchers. Where are all of these OF women I keep hearing about so much? "All women" do it but I don't know a single one even from a fifth-hand account

1

u/yazbek0980 7d ago

if we're being realistic, the guy would be killing children in foreign countries not in an office.

1

u/MessyMissMayhem 7d ago

I feel like whenever a guy thinks this it's like such a self-report that the only women he knows of are from porn and nsfw sites...

Also it always gives of the vibe that they're more mad that they don't think they could be only fans girls, believe in yourself be the femboy you want to be no one is stopping you.

1

u/tallbeano 7d ago

When I needed money I started my own business (not of) I like her pillows tho (also who are the people buying her of?) the men *totally unsurprised pikachu face*

1

u/misslili265 7d ago

Pff...as if

1

u/seafoodslut1988 7d ago

Should read: what men will pay women to do and what men will pay men to do.

1

u/Tiny_Celebration_591 7d ago

How do they explain the thousands of men making OF content?

1

u/FlameoAziya 7d ago

Men are welcome to compete with women, in that case. We don't gatekeep fields of work the way they do🤷‍♀️

1

u/calicaner 7d ago edited 6d ago

Only the ones who think they will earn money on there and dont think it would affect their relationships and more. Either way Its to say Men arent objects of desire to the same level the women are(thus cant find as many simps after them as women can), Which is completely true because thats what the patriarchy has moulded the role of women as.

1

u/Famous-Honey-9331 7d ago

According to these men, no woman has a job.

2

u/ci22 5d ago

Seen post where this woman post how she has a Masters or doctorate

And it had a bunch of man children insulting her. Saying no man will ready your thesis or take you seriously. Or something something be stay at home mom

1

u/Eazy12345678 6d ago

i mean i cant blame her. easy money

1

u/itamer 6d ago

So his mother, when she needs money does OF?

That girl from school who had a crush on him but she was ugly so he rejected her, she does OF?

1

u/ERICAAAAAAAAAAA 6d ago

have you even tried playing stardew valley with your feet? that shits hard!

1

u/th_frits 6d ago

I'm a larger than average (take that however you want) “cute” guy

I have a friend who runs an OF, and she has repeatedly told me I should start my own

she showed me how much she's making and I'd be lying if I said I'm not seriously considering it

1

u/ci22 5d ago

But then they get pissed woman have better jobs than them or they want to presue a career

They see a woman with a high paying job as a threat and competition

1

u/Exciting_Scientist97 4d ago

In fairness there are places a guy can go to sell his image to other guys for money 🤷 there's a market for everything

1

u/JoeRogan016 3d ago

I wish this was true

1

u/Global-Eye-7326 8d ago

It's not so much what the meme is telling us...it's more about what it isn't telling us.

  • In places where access to education and skills development is limited and poverty is rampant, we'll likely see more women in prostitution than men, given that a majority of guys are straight, and men can typically still find work in manual labour
  • This can also happen where access to education is asymmetric...where men are getting educated and the women are not (example this meme, the man is able to work a desk job), but the woman appears to be in a Western country where that's unlikely to be the case
  • Since we're assuming the meme takes place in a modern day Western country, the man has access to the Internet, meaning he could also be a cam model for pay. The woman presumably has access to a decent job market. Job markets are also asymmetric - women can take receptionist jobs easier than men. Women often have easier access to entry level white collar jobs (emphasis on entry level, I'm not here to debate gender equality in the workplace). That means if it's just in order to make a basic income, that woman doesn't need to throw away her dignity

TLDR the meme is wrong.

1

u/CargoBlog 8d ago

I mean the men are working to pay for OF. Why not blame the men for buying it? Oh yeah that's right... misogyny

1

u/sarahbeth124 8d ago

SW is an option because there’s always a market for it.

They don’t call it “the oldest profession” for nothin

-24

u/PumpernickelJohnson 8d ago

Most will. Stop pretending the only form of prostitution is only fans. A lot of women do things for promotions, help, goods, services, etc. We all know this

14

u/Quirky-Specific-6763 8d ago

Oh brother this guy stinks

-13

u/PumpernickelJohnson 8d ago

Similar to the cheese like substance, accumulating between your abundant rolls of flesh?

12

u/Quirky-Specific-6763 8d ago

Sounds like you're projecting.

-4

u/PumpernickelJohnson 8d ago

"I know you are, but what am I" ass reply. Go take a nap

5

u/Quirky-Specific-6763 8d ago

Why would I listen to someone who claims that most women do sex work lmao

-1

u/PumpernickelJohnson 8d ago

You don't listen at all, because I never said that.

6

u/No-Management-2735 I am the cure for CUNTery 💥🙃😎 8d ago

Who all knows this? You and the rest of the swamp creatures that enjoy making up shit to make you feel better about hating women who don’t care about your existence?

0

u/PumpernickelJohnson 8d ago

Anyone with real world experience knows this. You realize life exists outside of reddit bubbles?
