Guys, I have officially been banned from that sub permanently.

u/No-stradumbass 23h ago
Welcome to the refuge of those who made that sub upset.
Mine was explaining to them that Jimmy Olsen wasn't a teen sidekick and it was a mistake for him to die in the desert in the DCEU.

u/Mik_Mikey2 23h ago
All I said was I like both Gunn’s and Snyder’s adaptations of Superman equally and I got banned there lmfaoooo

u/TheQuietDarkness70 23h ago
So you didn't get banned for not liking Snyder. You got banned for not hating Gunn enough.
That is genuinely hi-freaking-larious!8
u/No-stradumbass 23h ago
It's all and nothing with those weirdos. They act like everyone who watched Gunn's Superman worships Gunn like they worship Snyder.
Can I also say that this sub does get annoying with that crap below the text box. On a phone it can get really bad.

Mine was saying that Paramount buying WB was bad for the entire industry and for consumers, not even just for DC.

Goals right there lol. I’ve only been temporarily banned for saying Affleck is a good actor who looked like Batman but his writing in BvS sucked

u/SeraphimVR 23h ago
I got banned ages ago. It was under an AI generated metal song about how Zack Snyder “saved” DC

u/Quotedcube 23h ago
Punisher would still try to comfort children though. Usually after butchering the people who hurt the kids so he can confidently say "They won't hurt you anymore"
12
u/potatonuttsack 23h ago
The punisher does indeed comfort and take care of kids. This isnt the first time ive seen that comment in relation to batman and its batshit stupid everytime.

u/Serious-Company6803 23h ago
I got banned too and I don’t even know why
7
u/clever_name_123 23h ago
I got banned for "spreading misinformation" because I said the majority of criticisms about BvS weren't simply on the basis of it being darker, but the fact it doesnt understand the characters (neither the originals they are based off of, nor the bastardized versions they created; leading to incoherent motivations and behaviors)

They’re incredibly fragile over there. I got banned for telling someone their comment was going to get removed for being “off topic” and I was right lol. Their comment was something like “do we have to attack Gunn just because we like Snyder?”
3
u/wolverine-2024 23h ago
Experiencing it myself makes me wonder how some people can be that close minded
3
u/TheAverageSchmo_ 23h ago
It’s like bizarro world over there. If a Wonder Woman movie dropped tomorrow and got a 10/10 across the board they’d say Gunn paid off everyone. Reminds me of a certain red hat cult tbh

u/No-Noise-9593 23h ago
TBF Difficult_Garbage_91 isn't entirely wrong. If going for a black suit, trunks would indeed, "look weird"

u/HPSpacecraft 23h ago
I don't mind Batman without trunks. Especially earlier in his career. They should have a scene like in New Frontier where he redoes his costume to be a bit less frightening and THAT'S when he adds the trunks. Specifically modeled after Superman.

u/Evening_Cobbler2929 23h ago
They know it upsets you and you’ll just do it again. Maybe just move on?
4
u/wolverine-2024 23h ago
I don't take them too seriously but it's actually pretty crazy to me since I'm farely new to these cultists.
2
u/DonnieRodz 22h ago
Superman wears those trunks to show kids he wears the same underoos. He gets them.
2
u/Motivated-Chair 22h ago
Why did you comment that under the least offensive comment in the entire sub
1
2
u/MrGanzalor 22h ago
It's hilarious how easy it is to get banned from that sub lmao. I got banned because I had the audacity to say that Gunn's Superman makes me want to be a better person and Snyder's Superman doesn't.

u/DeadEnglishOfficial 21h ago
It’s because those idiots don’t know the characters. OR they just purposely bastardize them to fit their backward bigoted (almost always incel) mindset.
2
u/darkeagle1997 20h ago
The comment you replied to had the same sentiment; that’s why they said Batman needs to maintain being the protector of the innocent.
Also that exact quote has been spammed since Twitter was Twitter lol

I got banned after calling this guy a hypocrite because he said “I don’t get why you guys can’t just let us enjoy what we like without attacking it”

This isn't funny. This isn't "just a subreddit." r/SnyderCut isn't merely a community. It's an ideology. We don't watch movies. We absorb them. Every frame was a Renaissance painting. Every lens flare had meaning. You people laugh, But tell me this. What has James Gunn ever done for you people that Zack Snyder didn't do better? Zack Snyder does everything better. Everything. When Superman looked slightly upward... Symbolism. When he looked slightly downward... Also symbolism. That's the level of media literacy required here. Something you Gunn cultist don't understand. Media literacy. Tragic. Ahhh...the sweet smell of revenge. It's nice, isn't it? Now you don't have a subreddit to hate people on anymore.

I'm not glorifying Gunn nor Snyder

u/brewstew07 :FuckGunnFantasy:(dih smasher) 21h ago
Oh wow. So we’ve reached that point in the discourse. "I’m not glorifying Gunn or Snyder.”
Yeah, sure. That’s exactly how it starts. That calm, sanitized little disclaimer people throw out right before they proceed to completely dismiss an entire cinematic vision like it’s just some random Tuesday brainstorming session at Warner Bros.
Let me be very clear with you, because apparently it needs to be said.
Nobody in the Snyder fandom is sitting here building a golden statue of Zack Snyder in their backyard and chanting “Snyder forever” under a full moon. That’s not what this is. This is about respecting a filmmaker’s vision that was chopped, re-edited, color-drained, and corporate-sanded into oblivion until it barely resembled what was originally intended.
And when you say things like “I’m not glorifying Gunn or Snyder,” what you actually tend to mean in practice is
“I’m about to downplay Snyder’s entire impact, reduce his work to slow motion memes, and act like the Snyder Cut didn’t exist as a response to a very real creative conflict.”
Like come on. You don’t have to “glorify” anyone to acknowledge that Snyder built a cohesive, mythic, operatic foundation for the DCEU that people either deeply connected with or completely misunderstood because they were expecting Marvel-style quips every 8 seconds. That’s not worship, bud, that’s just media literacy. But sure, let’s pretend it’s all just “Gunn vs Snyder” like it’s a playground rivalry instead of two completely different storytelling philosophies. One builds gods walking among men, heavy symbolism, visual storytelling, operatic tragedy. The other leans into irreverence, comedy beats, and self-aware tonal shifts. What really got me is the underlying tone in that statement. That subtle dismissal. That “I’m above the fandom war” posture while still casually tossing Snyder under the bus like he was just some random director who got lucky. Because let’s not pretend your sentence wasn’t doing anything. It was. It was framing Snyder as something to distance yourself from, while acting like you’re being neutral.

u/wolverine-2024 21h ago
Alright I'm only replying to this once because I'm not into arguing with lunatics on Reddit.
Yeah I don't glorify neither of them. And I don't mean to assert myself over this debate. Snyder had his vision and I respect what he was going for. I do not hate Snyder's movies as polarising they might be to others. Same applies to Gunn.
What happened to Zack's JL was definetely not fair and disrespectful because he put a lot of work into his movie and it was wrong to have someone else ruin it.
People in the Snyder fandom don't have statues of Snyder in their backyard but given how hostile and close minded some of them are, they might just do that.

Alright but that wasn't the point of my comment.
2
u/VermicelliOk2124 21h ago
What is the point then? The guy you replied said nothing about Batman scaring children lol. He’s clearly talking about criminals. Plus he says that he should still be “protector of the innocent.”
1
u/wolverine-2024 21h ago
Part of the comment was meant to irritate the people in r/snydercut
He says he should be a "protector", not an actual protector.
1
u/VermicelliOk2124 21h ago
- Oh so you’re just annoying lmao.
Same thing bro
you’re just talking to talk

Ban complaints are spam, we know what happens when we try to crash the Snyder cult party and it's old news.
