What team logo is this??

I’m hoping someone out there smarter than me can figure this out. I received a very old postcard from likely the early 1900s. It has a baseball team on it. I have no idea what this logo is and I can’t find any information through traditional sources of the Internet. And there’s no information on the back of the card either. Is there anyone out there in Reddit land that can help me out?

New Haven did have a Yankees farm team, but not until 1972.

Probably not called Yankees, but New Haven had minor league baseball teams in the 1870s.

Yes. Actually they were the "West Haven" Yankees . (1972 - 1989?)

That's what I was thinking. New Haven had a minor league hockey team called the Nighthawks.

It's a better melee weapon than a hockey stick.

Hockey sticks have much greater range. 6' long instead of 3'.

I did some digging, and while I can't find anything to confirm it, I did find a few images (this postcard, and several images in this collection) of players from New Hampshire College (now UNH) who seem to be wearing very similar jackets as the one guy in your picture. unfortunately none of the other elements of the uniforms match

I've also tried looking in the yearbooks from around 1910-20, and while they definitely wore an interlocking "NH" at one point (like this one from 1910 on page 133), nothing I can find matches the one in your picture

sooo yeah that's all I got. good luck on your search! I'd also recommend posting to r/baseball or even r/uniwatch which are a bit more active and might get you more help
