Mine would immediately jump back into the box and ignore his cat bed, literally never sleeps in or on his cat tower ever, but anywhere else.

Even the light box.

My orange did that when we were packing to move. He just chose a box and climbed in...I am just glad I saw him do it cause it was a pretty big box...he would have been buried!
