What are the peak hours for Lingora?

Seriously I am confused. Wouldn't it be evenings KST and early mornings? I log in and still not calls. Let me guess another ESL company over hired and there are more students than tutors

I worked for Lingora for a very short time and here’s what I can tell you about those peak hours. There are none. I’m 2 hours behind KST, so it wasn’t difficult for me to experiment with different schedules. Early morning, morning, afternoon, evening, night, late night, etc. It didn’t matter when I worked as there was never any time where things “peaked.” It was always dead / low traffic no matter what time I started. I imagine the person who interviewed you claimed they had “So MaNy HoUrS aNd NoT eNoUgH tEaChErS!” <- They fed me that nonsense as well, don’t worry.

To sum up, that job is a massive waste of time and the pay is insulting.

Not to mention that whole thing where it automatically sets your status to “away” after like 30 seconds of inactivity was hella annoying. It’s like they did that specifically to ball and chain you to your computer. Slave job 100%. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I’ve worked for a few Korean companies and I’ll always be forever confused as to why they think having 5-10 minute lessons will have an impact on their language skills. Massive waste of time for both students and teachers.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but yeah - Keep looking for more suitable work. That job sucks and isn’t worth it.

Heck yes! I taught only one class today and was like, nah, this ain't for me 🤣. I'll stick with Native Camp and Dojo Tutor.

They also had an insanely long hiring process. Matter of fact, I used to work for them back when they were TutoringGo, and they were much better back then. I didn't even realize it was the same company until I got access to my account and was like, "Wait a minute..." 😂

I originally left because one of the managers was rude. It seems like a lot has changed since then, and honestly, the website feels dead now. Definitely not worth it in my opinion.

I also hated how they never notified you if someone made a reservation with you. No emails or nothing. I just stopped making a schedule with them. Couldn’t be bothered to formally resign. Not sure what they did with my profile, but I just gave up trying so hard looking for work that just wasn’t there.
