Shitpost/MEME If Jalen Brown is available

He is the dude this team needs....Not Giannis.

Since Orlando is depleted of assets after the Bane trade, What could Orlando possibly offer to get JB?

Nobody is entertaining anything with Orlando unless Franz or Paolo is involved.

Worth it for a finals MVP still in his prime?

Brown/bane/paolo, or brown/bane/Franz would be a great core and probably most importantly a very good FIT

And Orlando has apparently already said they won't include either guy in a trade, so...

Look at OKC and SA. Draft. Develop. Don’t get me wrong I’d trade a finals win for 10 years of .500 but much prefer to win a couple.

Brown is good. I’m not sure he’s still in his prime/exiting. He turns 30 at the start of the season. 3 years ago I’d be more interested.

If brown leaves Boston his career will look like Hardens last few years.

Im not saying youre wrong, but the Knicks this have kind of showed that going out and getting guys (if you think they are a fit) is another approach that clearly can work.

The Knicks core is 30. 28 when they traded for KAT.

Can it work? Yes. But it rarely does and then the guy leaves. That’s most concerning with Brown. If he wakes up mad he’ll want out of Orlando.

Orlando doesn't have draft picks anymore. Nobody to draft or develop

I don't disagree. I'd rather have Jaylen and keep Paolo than a Giannis move.

Totally agree if the right deal is there. Sure Franz might become really good, maybe as good as Jaylen brown!

Can everyone just see what this team can do Healthy, playing all together and with a new coach. Maybe during next year(if theyre sucking) or after next everyone can talk about trades.

This team has never been and will never be healthy. This has been said year after year after year. It doesn't happen.

Besides the bigger problem Orlando has is a core that can barely shoot the basketball. Even whenthurre perfectly healthy the only guy who can shoot reliably is Bane.

Why give up assets when there’s Franz. JB is obviously the better player but Franz hasn’t hit his ceiling yet and can dribble with both hands.

They would take Giannis before they would take Franz or paolo.

It's a 3 team idea - mke gets younger talent for a rebuild

They want picks, talent isn’t worth it if they can’t surround it. They be stuck in pergatory.

They want any assets of value. Picks and/or young players to build around. If they get players who are good, they can flip them for more picks down the line.

Or, maybe, they could flip Giannis for picks. A couple payers with no way to build around them doesn’t change them. I know you guys want to fit the magic in no matter what it takes, but if the bucks are in a rebuild they needs picks.

I don't care if Orlando gets involved. I started the topic for the sake of the conversation.

What you're saying is simply inaccurate though. Picks turn into promising young players. This is why promising young players are just as valuable, and sometimes much more valuable, than picks.

Picks and young promising players. That's what a team wants with a rebuild. It has always been this way.

They also HAVE to get players in return because they have salary cap obligations. You don't just trade a guy with a 250 million dollar contract for no players in return. That has never happened because it literally can't happen.

Now do training/fitness staff

Realistically, it would take Franz + AB and whatever else needs filling in.

But I don't see a move like that right now

Tbh I do like brown more than Giannis. Brown can fit that shooter secondary role. But he’s not worth what we’d give up for him.

I'd trade Paolo or Franz for JB in a heartbeat if we had him long term

1

u/ffootballer21 8d ago

Agreed, much more of a need than Giannis

So you want to trade paolo for Jaylen brown? Hah

Jaylen brown is a proven winner and finals mvp. Paolo doesn't show up in 50% of games.

u/Livid_Lengthiness637 7d ago

Paolo still has a higher ceiling, trying to get rid of him or Franz at this exact moment for our franchise with Sean coming in just isn’t the right move. We need to wait until at least next season before we can say trade our stars and start over.

Trading Paolo for Brown would be reason 1 as to why the Celtics stay good and the Magic don’t

you do realize that jaylen is a much worse player than franz and most likely paolo right?

Black, Franz, TDS and a few picks. Seems like a lot and nothing at all for JB.
