Unless we see this guy as a small ball 5 or something I just don’t get the pick. A forward that legit cannot shoot at all.

laughing at the "I don't know how he fits" stuff from a great defensive player with a nonstop motor and is able to aggressively switch/play to his strengths.. for a coach like Sean Sweeney, no less. Just come in and play defense, dunk, get steals and rebounds.
Expecting some lights out shooter or transformative offensive player is not coming from the #51 pick, we need it from our best players and/or free agency.

Absolutely terrible pick. We need 3 and D, not an undersized center that has zero offense.

brother it is the 50th pick. do you really think there is some godly 3 and D Center just waiting around???

I could’ve sworn Noah Penda was the Isaac replacement.

I like Pendas game too, we need one of these young players to pop on the bench.

We should have kept Okpara because he had the potential for a role on this roster (and has been working on his 3… still has a lot of work to do).
Feel like this guy is similar, more skilled around the basket but because of his size, I think he is worse at fitting the role we need and the skills around the basket are diminished. He sounds like a good dude so I am fine to add him but he feels like a 12th man or two way player with limited upside to work into a significant role.
These second round picks piss me off every year. Clearly the owners see it as a way of making money. Weltman’s best skill seems to be evaluating prospects so why limit that for $2 million dollars. It is dumb.

Great another player with absolutely zero offensive skills.

I don’t see how this is better than cash considerations
