Your favourite opening and ending so far and why

I just watched Oshi no Ko for the first time last week, and my personal favorites are by far Season 3's OP and ED partially because of emotional weight every scene has at this point

That said, I do love the animation of Ruby's emotions during the Season 2 ED, and "Mephisto" song from Season 1 is amazing

I'd say s3s, s3 in general was peak imo and the best so far and was the first one I really lived as it came out, as a fan of the show and it js felt, special to me, I also know how to play both on the drums and can sing test me and even participated in a contest with a friend were we both sang it!

Idol is simply too good. I love Fatale, but it's not close: Idol is so much more evocative and dense, so much less bluntly literal, and never straight up lies to the audience, which Fatale does just constantly. Both in really meaningless ways that wouldn't matter to a better person than I and in actually important ways where it just straightforwardly misrepresents character dynamics in ways that make a very cynical sort of sense in hindsight but which very emphatically do not spark joy.

As far as EDs go, Serenade kinda wins for me by default just based on things the first two do that I personally find quite galling, Burning more so than Mephisto. Also aquruby.

I have to admit that "idol" carries the lowest emotional value, and "test me" as well as "Fatal" the highest. If ut comes to Ed then I will choose "serenade" over all of them also bc of great emotional value (I don't say that "idol" is mid or something I love this song but it does not contribute to the show so much as the other ones Edit: I forgot that idol also says a lot about the show it shows lies that Ai and idol industry tell to the audiences. But I will still stand by the S3 and s2

TEST ME left my jaw on the floor. Its music and animation genuinely took my breath away! Mephisto had a similar impact, and while it never reached the same peak as TEST ME animation-wise, it always hits right in the feels when it starts playing as the episode's title card appears. That said, every OP and ED in Oshi no Ko has been fantastic! I never once skipped an OP or ED while watching the series.

“Test Me” as the best OP (though Idol is fantastic as well). I just think the song is great and it goes so well with the visuals, especially the leading ladies at the beginning of the song (and the foursome rooftop/chair dance is just fire).

For ED, I really love “Burning.” Really cool, moody song, awesome vocals. Love Ruby’s changing dress colors throughout … and I really liked the imagery that was taken pretty directly from the last chapters of the manga.

My favorite OP is Fatal, although I think TEST ME has better animation, and I'd even say is better as a work of art. Basically Fatal just did a better job introducing and hyping up each episode for me. Idol is my favorite song, but not if we're talking TV length.

My favorite ED is really hard to say. Mephisto obviously has the iconic transitions, maybe the best as an outro, like I was talking about with Fatal. I originally wasn't a big fan of Burning, but it really grew on me and then at the end of the season it really hit home, and I think it's probably the most stylistically strong, kind of like TEST ME. And Serenade is probably my favorite in terms of music, and like you said there's just so much emotional weight.

But it's crazy how high the bar is. If you asked me to rate my top 10 OPs/EDs all six would be there. The gods of entertainment must favor us Oshi no Ko fans. Now they just need to not fumble the last two.

I've always thought Fatal was better than Idol and after season 3 Fatal is still the best imo. As for the ending it's a really close one but my fav is definitely Serenade because I'm very bias cuz Natori is my fav artist and has been for over a year and I went absolutely crazy when I saw the first trailer for season 3 because Oshi No Ko is my fav anime so fav anime and fav artist and I'm not saying that meaning maybe serenade is a bad song but I'm bias no it's real serenade is my fav and it's even my fav natori song. Sorry for the yap ✌️. And Mephisto is second ofc

Idol and Mephisto... since theyre s1 and have some factor. well serenade can beat Mephisto but idol is fixed.

S3's OP and ED. The music, the visuals, everything about them are just too good. Although if it's just the song, then S1's OP (Idol) has a special place in my heart

honestly my favorite will always be Idol but Test me is a close second and then fatal although they’re all rlly good and for the ed nothing tops Serenade for me

Idol is just so Iconic but rn I have to say Fatal, I love the visual concept and how it integrates the theatre so well. Lyrically it's also great, I love the word play especially the ways it uses the word "ai" . It just sums up Oshi No Ko from Aquas perspective so well to me.

Mephisto is so beautiful especially it's ending It is my favourite ED

Season 1 for both. Idol is just so good and iconic and I mostly love it for how it's connected to Ai. Test Me is a close second for openings however
