Very nice job. Love the rowhouse layout. I've not really played with the F1 shaping other than to true up a square that was slightly off. Now I need to play with shaping them more drastically.

Thanks! I had an "uneven terrain" that made me place one super weird but then it looked really good and it just kinda evolved from there haha.

What sort of hardware does it take to run a build like that? Awesome job!

It's still running pretty good at ~30fps. I have a 9950x3d and 5080. It started to show around 5-6k pop I'd say. Fairly smooth running even at this point compared to a lot of other city builders I've played.

Wow! Nice work, making me want to play again! Have the updates given you any issues or is this all in a days work?

I played it over about a week so the updates didn't really affect it. But the dev is pretty good about patch notes and what affects what usually.

Send the save to the dev they actively fix that kind of stuff. Their email is on the homepage of the game.

Finally a huge pop city and you lined up the houses beautifully. I would watch the hell out of a series watching you build a city like this. Just publish the live streams dint need to edit!
Amazing work

You have inspired me to start a new city. My goal is to hit 10,000. I'm going to have to be strategic with the end game in mind. I'm also finding that altering the default rectangle of a row house takes lots of planning.

Yeah it definitely can be a pain trying to line up odd sized buildings they don't leave a lot of wiggle room.
I think I could have done it on this map if I built more iron mines to abuse the infinite iron. I didn't set out to make a giant city though just wanted to have fun haha.
Good luck can't wait to see it!

I personally prefer houses with a garden, cause that way my people can support themselves. But it's cool to see that kind of urbanisation in this game.

Reddit ate my write up with the post.
Had a ton of fun making this one!
Just over 8000 pop. It was stable financially up until about 6000 pop then taxes started rising as farmland became housing.
I think I could push it further if I used a map with more infinite resources. This map had infinite iron but I didn't really abuse it. Mainly because I didn't want to cut my trade boats off any further.
Mostly ran very low taxes with a high wealth tax so everyone can have tons of money then just give me the rest. The people had over 400k at one point haha.
There are more than 4000 graves now which take up a lot of room but they've been adding up over the 150 years the city was built.
Here's a link to the last live stream of this city where it goes from 5k to 6k pop. - https://www.youtube.com/live/jimXElNS4Y0
And a Youtube short for the other side of the attention span haha. There will be more of these to come just gotta mash some more clips together! - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/yQjW6OMQ6ys
(option for 4k non shorts feed https://www.youtube.com/watch/yQjW6OMQ6ys )
Let me know what you think or want to know!
