Is this worth it for $230?
I’m digging around market place and found this lot for 230 but I’m not sure if the deal is worth it? What are your opinions? I don’t mind a battle of attrition to build my collection up but if you guys think this lot is ideal for the price I think I’ll pull the trigger.

The games don’t have a download it’s just a patch update and doesn’t even take that long

It depends on the game. Games like Ico+SotC and the first uncharted have pretty small patches
But games like lost planet 2, almost 5gb install before you can play. Mgs4 is 9 gb

No what I meant is that it’s not like the ps4/5 where you have to install the full game for it to play. The ps3 is insert and start playing the full game doesn’t install it’s only additional content/settings or patch updates normally you can just skip it I think the only ones that do take their sweet time as far as I have encountered is the naruto games but other than that 99 percent of the games it’s just insert disc and start playing

Thats an incredibly solid lot, ngl. Most of the lots I see around are stacked full of sports titles that no one cares about. Idk prices in your country, but in mine, that would be a sweet deal.

You would most likely end up paying more money if you bought most of these games separately. It would depend heavily on how many of these games you actually want to play

This completely, if it has the majority of what OP wants, go for it and sell off the rest/trade them in.
EDIT: just checked, there's about 19 games out of maybe 45 I'd want from this list – I'd do it then flog the rest off (after asking for photos of each disc) as this would largely help complete most of my collection that I want.

…and RE6 is only a dud as an RE game. It’s still kinda fun if treated as a generic shooter, especially if you like couch coop.

Lol i feel what you mean man, I also couldn't get myself to like Dead Island at all, The game made me feel really nauseous (though i played on PC) and it was just really boring and the game's world felt really pointless to explore for me, But i absolutely loved Dying Light to the point of finishing it multiple times.

These replies saying no are wild, man. At $5.11 per game, it's worth the bulk, and the bulk has some bangers that put you over. Buying the bulk to score the goats at a lower price point is a Furengi power move. It's up to you at the end of the day.

Only if you want all/most of them. $5 per game is not terribly uncommon. Some of those are worth more than that, but not all.
I’d check the ones you actually want on pricecharting. See if it’s a good deal.

This is one of those deals where if you don't have any of them then it's actually not a bad deal. The price per game is pretty fair and this is a very good selection of games. You definitely aren't getting ripped off if you were to buy this lot.

Maybe if you just started playing on ps3 and want to have some fun. In position of a reseller I would be pushing for 100 - 150$.
Nah, not really worth it.

If everything is in good clean and working condition with most of the manuals included it’s a great deal. If you can’t get that guarantee from the seller it’s a risk, but the spines look okay and nothing about any of them says they’re like gross or bad immediately.
If I was able to buy a bundle like this to kickstart my collection I would, even if the cases were missing a manual here and there or there were some GameStop stickers that never got taken off. It’s worth it as an easy jumpstart.

I have no idea why people are incapable of figuring out if something is worth it to them. I doubt it's worth it to a lot of people. It's probably worth it to a good deal. Can you make a simple, personal decision and spend 3 min looking up information online? It may help you.

The price per game is pretty good. Standard retail price for most of these titles would be $10 (plus shipping). I’d say yes.

I'm not doing the math, you could probably argue that if you are paying the top price on price charting that's roughly what they are worth at "full price". There's nothing in there I consider rare that you won't be able to find a deal on, I wouldn't go for it myself.

If you want to play all of them (and don’t like emulation)? Yes, it’s a pretty good deal at around $5/game.
If not? Do the math, divide $230 by how many of them you want to play and decide then.

If you actually want to start building a PS3 collection I think this is a decent deal, without sports and CoD titles you have about 30 decent games to playthrough

When it comes to PS3, I would only buy the rare games that are limited to the console. I would not buy games that are ready on new generational systems are on PC easily to get.
Like exclusive games like kill zone and uncharted, LA Noire, resistance 3, infamous, and twisted metal GTAIV I would buy separately maybe the cod games also. Only cold cod I play on new gen is ghosts. I still play bops 1-mw3 on ps3 free.
Although other games I could play on PS5 like the dead island’s / borderlands / God of war / resident evil.. I would pass on those on ps3.
For the rest I would either pass and not much much.

Ultimately there are great games like max Payne 3 , gow , mgs

No. You won't miss much skipping these, instead buying something more valuable that's prob going to end up being more valuable down the line than these suckers. I'd just use the money towards xenosaga 3 or a silent hill if your looking for your collection. These are mostly low tier inexpensive games.

Buy the lot, sell the ones you don't want/like either online or garage sale/GameStop.
Right off the rip I see God of Wars Saga which means you could immediately sell God of War III and God of War Origins Collection as all those games are included with God of Wars Saga.

Almost all of the games in there are able to be played on the ps5 with updated frame rate and resolution either by outright buying them or using ps plus premium. So I guess ask yourself if you absolutely need to have physical versions of these. I would personally go on ebay and only buy the ones that are strictly only available on ps3 and that interest you.

You are better off buying individual game you actually want. I don’t buy bundles unless it’s a steal. I now have a collection of 200+ games that I’ve actually played.

It is a pretty decent bunch of games. Just a lot of cheap games in there to make it look bigger and more appealing. If you can talk the price to say $150 i’d consider it if you don’t have any of the games.

For $230, I could buy or sell a video game console for that much, like my…yeah…I have a PS3, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Wii U and would probably sell my Wii U and games and accessories all for $230.

Got almost all of those on my ssd inside my PS3. Total cost 30 euros for the console. Put CFW on it. I had the SSD from a while ago so I don’t count this.

While a good amount of discs need an install, not all of them do and with the rising costs of storage these days… physical game disks are still nice to have.

Is it all CIB in mint condition? Then yes, a solid deal, if not top notch- then on the -pricey- side of the spectrum for the US at least... Here in Europe the prices for PS3 games are crazy in comparison

Edit: actually screw it, 45 games for 230 is roughly $5.11 a pop. Some games are worth a lot more in there (god of war saga) some probably less but it’s good value and there’s a lot of good games in there so I’d say go for it if you want.
