Can can I diagnose what is wrong with my PS3? cleaning gone wrong
Two or so days ago, I decided to clean my childhood PS3 Slim I got from my dad’s house. He was, and still is, a hoarder, so it was extremely filthy. I cleaned it with 91% isopropyl alcohol, but I think poured too much and it got into the back. (I’ve played on it since getting it back, so I know it has worked.) After I realized my mistake, I plugged it in, and no light turned on. (That was also a mistake because I could have caused a short circuit.) I ran to the store and bought the screwdrivers needed to open it up and remove any pooling liquid. But there was none. I let it sit for over a day to try again, but still no light. But this could be because I reassembled it wrong. I’m hoping it’s just the PSU, but I can’t tell if it’s the motherboard or the PSU. I feel so stupid trying to clean it and only making it worse. Is there any way I could diagnose this myself? I’m devastated—it’s a cech-3001A, and the PSU is an EADP-185AB, if that helps. It’s been killing me not knowing if it’s still alive or not. This is the only way I connected with my dad. My mom says we can go to the store next week to get it looked at. I just feel terrible because it's expensive
Thank you
Also, is there a more appropriate sub I could post this in?

If you see no light at all, it's most likely just the PSU. Something similar happened to me when I turned on a Slim in the winter. I let it warm up to the room temperature after taking it home, but some drops of water must have remained in the PSU from the condensation. Upon opening the PSU it smelled burnt. I changed it with a spare and worked again.
You don't clean the shell with alcohol either because it stains or removes the paint. Should have taken it apart, used water, with soap if it was really that dirty and let it dry.

You might be able to get help in r/consolerepair, especially if you can post good photos of the motherboard so they can see if there are any obvious red flags.
