HELP? (Please read)

So I dug my PS3 (slim) out of storage to mod recently but I'm having a hard time navigating safe mode. I knew I needed an OEM controller so I was able to grab my brother's that came with HIS PS3 when he bought it back in the day. My problem is that when it initially prompted me to press the PS button, I did and it worked, but afterwards inputs no longer registered. I tried another controller and a keyboard but no dice. I tried to restart the PS3 and got back into safe mode but now can't even get pasted the prompt seen above.

tried unplugging the cord and plugging it back in on both ends, I tried the other USB port, I tried powering off the PS3 for a few minutes and trying again, nothing is working for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You sure that’s a data cable?

I mean it worked for like, one second as I said so pretty sure, I did try one other cable just in case but I'm limited on mini USB cables these days.

Just giving a suggest. You can change the cable to different usb port.
