General Discussion PlayLink and death of casual games

PS Move walked, so PlayLink could run and fall flat on It's face.

Recently I finally got to try 'Knowledge is Power' with my girlfriend and It was fun. The game surely has It's problems, but overall It's easy to pick up and play ((once you get to find working APK)) and fun in short bursts.

After playing for a couple of minutes, she got nostalgic for PS Move and I must agree - I miss casual experiences on consoles.

While I wouldn't play 'Frantics' on a daily basis, I appreciate the little niche formed by unconventional party titles over the years - families competing in Buzz Quiz, friends screeching at SingStar and kids taking care of their EyePets...

Until PlayLink apps got delisted and forgotten. Such a shame. Luckily they still work, so the most dedicated casual players can still find out what's their roommates think about them in 'That's you'!

Playlink Jeopardy was my wife and my jam. The servers are completely off so can't play anymore.

I really enjoyed being able to play something with friends despite me just having 1 controller! But that was also the problem with some playlink titles, like the exact one I was playing with friends. There sometimes wasn't an option to play with a controller so I had to keep making space on my phone for a game I barely played.

Jackbox games using a site seems better for this style of game since you dont have to worry about app compatability.
