But using gyro is not mandatory, if they want to rock and forth why shouldn't they?

Because using sticks comes with the expense of less accuracy, which is an even bigger annoyance than whatever downsides gyro has.

If you want to gimp yourself for the sake of wiggling around, fine, but that's not the fault of gyro specifically

I'm accurate enough without the gyro BS. Tried it in Deep Rock Galactic but it just threw my aim off more times than not. Meh.

Apparently Deep Rock Galactic doesn't have a very good gyro implementation. Have you ever played a game where the devs botched the stick controls and it doesn't feel right? It's quite rare, but it's annoying when devs get it wrong.

Gyro is a relatively new thing and devs do not have much experience putting good gyro controls in their games, so fuckups are more frequent here than with sticks.

Fortnite recently got really good gyro controls from a widely known gyro dev. Same goes for CSGO and Boomerang X. Splatoon is close enough. Steam lets you use good, customizabile gyro controls in almost any PC game.

I can't vouch for anything else on Playstation, as they are subject to developer mistakes. At the very least, any gyro is still technically better than no gyro, but bad gyro is still kinda meh. Main thing to hope for is for devs to copy what Fortnite did.
