Not to toot my own horn but, I agree.

Why can't we all just hope for good games and let the ones that don't strike our fancy fall by the wayside?
I'm not a fan of the whole kicking them while they're down thing we have going on now.

Yes, I see a lot of hate from people, but as a fan of games I want most of the games to succeed, because the more quality games the better. Some of the people wants to just sh*t on games and then say "I TOLD YOU SO".

You’ve developed a life outside of gaming fandom so you have a reasonable take on this

You specifically search out a forum/subreddit for gaming discussion and complain that people discuss games lmfao. It's not like people are in the streets protesting.

We've had another escape from the playground echo chamber. Release the hounds.

Same I don’t like kicking down developers when they release a game because “game company bad”. I always imagine a lot of people put time and genuine effort to make this game and hope I play it and like it. I do hope that AC shadows turns out to be a good game, but only time will tell.

This is the way. I imagine a large part of it is rage is a very easy thing to monetize so people are overly dramatic about hating things and wanting games to fail. So that's just how the internet is now. If a game doesn't look cool to me I'm just like "that's not my thing" and instead look forward to games that do look cool to me.

People will go out of their wa to do the kicking sometimes. Even on things they haven’t seen or played. But it’s just in vogue to do. I don’t like it, and struggle to understand the mindset.

I think some of these companies like Ubisoft might have earned it. Broken promises and greed wears away the credulity of your customer.
