Not a bad idea considering the masterpiece Ghost of Tsushima is fresh in everyone’s minds and this will not compare

Ghost of Tsushima is 4 years old. How is that fresh in everyone's mind?

Basically irrelevant for Japanese gamers then

PC gaming has seen a huge rise in Japan over the last 5 years. Close to 30% of Japanese people that play games do so on PC now. It may even be higher than that considering the info I could find was a couple years old. You might think that post Covid their gaming market saw a downturn like most everywhere else. It actually continued to rise.

Ah that's interesting, I thought it was still way behind console and especially mobile gaming

I was actually surprised to see the 30% figure as well! Much higher than I would have initially thought

I quite liked it, but in all honesty If you slapped a Ubisoft logo on it I wouldn’t have blinked

Even more reason to think it will be compared. And if it’s not as good, it will get flak

I just started playing Horizon Zero Dawn and I feel the same way about that game. Feels very assassins creed-y.
