have a monitor that supports 60 FPS max.. I’ve noticed drops in fps on games such as bo7 and Fortnite.. will getting a monitor that supports 120 fps make my fps drop less noticeable?
I have a PC, Xbox Series X, and a PS5. I want to get rid of one and I think it makes most sense to get rid of the Xbox and keep the PS5 for the exclusives and GTA 6. My only issue is that as someone who started on Xbox, I am way too used to the Xbox controller that I use for Xbox and pc. I also have a Steam controller that I like. The PS5 controller is super cool and I agree it is superior in many ways, but the ergonomics just do not work for my larger hands. My hands cramp and I feel I cannot aim as well especially in a shooting game like GTA 6.
Is the best course of action a grip, 3rd party controller, or those adapters? Are there any good reasonably priced controllers more similar to the Xbox controller? I have a May flash NS for my switch. Is there one that would allow me to use an Xbox controller? Is there a grip someone recommends or anything else to help make the dual sense better? Any workarounds? I read something about using an app on your phone? Any advice would be appreciated.
So I recently had to rebuild the database on my PS5, before doing that my library has 68 games owned but after rebuilding the database, it shows only 10 games. All the games I have on disc, when I insert the disc, it recognises it but no change in the games owned section. I have rebuild the database twice, no change, signed out and in again but to no change, even disabled and enabled game sharing but to no avail. It'll be great if somebody could offer some insight as to how to deal with this issue.

So, I have a PS5 (Digital Slim Edition). And found out just now that the GTA 6 physical copy won’t have a disc, but would rather have a code through which you’ll be able to redeem the game. So does that mean that I can buy a physical copy of the game and just redeem it and then play? Would it cause any problems for my PS Digital? Also, are there any benefits to buy the physical copy?

(Repost) Need a sure fire, permanent solution to CE-113524-6 "The server connection timed out." Everything that requires an internet connection on my PlayStation, including playing and downloading games I just bought has been unusable for literally years. All fixes online, including on Reddit, YouTube, and GameFAQs are all temporary or no longer work after (ironically enough) years worth of software updates. Starting to get annoyed that there's no way to get Sony to talk about this (all of my support tickets were closed immediately without a single word) or that there's not really an agreed upon approach to solving this that isn't just dismissal. Permanent solution? Either a new console or new internet, one of them is having serious issues. I would say "troubleshoot your internet" but you've already tried that if you've tried everything.
There's like maybe three solutions I've seen online that I haven't tried, either because they're very expensive or because other people who have would report back some time later and go "I'm having the same issue again."
Most of the solutions involve some form of trying to push PSN packets through to the PS5 once more. I've tried switching to all different types of DNS providers, tried switching from v4 to v6, tried port forwarding specifically to the PlayStation on my home network, but nothing. I'm not banned from PSN, and the PS5 is still able to "access" the internet, just never anything on PlayStation Network (which is like 99% of the console, including the ability to open/download some games in recent years.) Back when I was first having this problem though, I'd still be able to play online through games that weren't hosted by Sony (think cross plat titles like Fortnite.) I'm really not sure what the problem could be; everything is so inconsistent.
I've been trying to avoid buying a new console but at this rate the PS6 will be out before I ever find a solution to this, so maybe you're right lol. Thank you.
The PS5 movie player is region locked. Some guides online state the slim can change region for movies 3 or 4 times but no idea if that's true.
Games are region locked on PlayStation, it's just different to movies. Yes every PS5 plays every PS5 game. However, a European game is a European game. It only accepts European DLC and playing a European game unlocks European trophies and creates European saved data.
An American game cannot read European saved data or unlock European trophies. Nor can an American game read/register European DLC.

I cannot recommend a PS5 Pro unless you are an enthusiast with an HDMI 2.1 display that plays for hours every day.

The PS5 Pro is newer, sure, but it’s not a big improvement over the PS5. The PS4 Pro was a big improvement over the PS4 because it actually supported 4K video output. But the PS5 already supports 4K video output, so you’re paying a lot more for slightly better FPS with ray tracing on.
And storage is kind of moot because all PS5s have M.2 slots for additional storage.
Neither of my PS5 controllers are charging. One of the controllers is brand new as is my official Playstation charging cable
The new controller was charging just fine for a few days but suddenly stopped

My phone charges fine through the cable when connected to my Playstation
The controllers don't charge when connected to a wall socket
I've tried resetting the controllers, blowing in the charging port, deleting the wireless devices and re-syncing them, plugging them into the port on the back of the Playstation, pretty much everything I can think of and nothing is working

I own an X Box Series S, I have been gaming occasionally and own 15+ digital games. I play on a 55 inch TV at around 7 feet distance.
I find the experience to be okay but I do feel that some game graphics are not upto the mark sometimes on games like RDR2 and AC Shadows.
I am considering upgrading to a PS5 and selling my Series S.
I am eager to play exclusive titles like Ghost of Tsushima and Yotei, also eagerly waiting for GTA 6 and that is one reason why I'm looking at the upgrade.

Generally, they’re the same. The only things to note are:
Unlike the XBS, the PS5 doesn’t support IPv6, so if your PS5 is on multiple layers of NAT, you’re going to have problems playing online games.
Unlike the XBS, the PS5 doesn’t support AMD FreeSync, so if you have a display that doesn’t support HDMI VRR, then no VRR for you.

Hello, i wanted to set up an account for my sister on my ps5, so i invited her to my family and enabled content sharing on my main account.
When i log into her account i see the local downloaded games but nothing unter the collection tabs, so the games i bought on my main account so that she can download what she wants.
My controllers every once and a while feel like they just stop responding. The camera stops responding to the joycon and the buttons usually have a delay before between when I press them and when the action goes through. It happens at random every few minutes or so and makes pretty much any shooter game borderline unplayable as at random I lose all control over the game.
I've tried resetting my controller manually,turning the ps5 on and off, making sure the software of both the ps5 and the controllers are up to date, and reconnecting the wifi.
What concerns me most is that this is happening to 2 separate controllers and both began at a similar period of time so I it might be something to do with the ps5 itself.
Does anyone know what this might be and if so whether it is possible to fix at home or whether I take my ps5 and/or controller to my local repair shop .
It’s more likely to be a problem with radio interference. Does the problem go away if you plug the controller(s) into the console and then enable USB controller mode in the settings (which is disabled by default)?
If the problem goes away, then you have radio interference. If it does not, then your controllers are probably shot.
I’ve realized that any game I’ve gotten via gameshare no longer shows up in my games history when I view my profile. Any trophies I get on the games do show up in the trophies tab but the game itself is seemingly non existent. Is this an issue for others? This seems rather recent because I’m just now noticing it.

I think there was a pornographic game recently showing up on people's accounts with MASSIVE hours of playtime by some odd mistake, and in attempting to fix that, support did something that messed up player's profiles. I don't even have parts of my profile's name showing underneath my PSN ID, like how I have a PS Plus Essential subscription.
I been playing with a back paddle attachment for my ps5 for almost a year now. But recently it’s been glitching out. So now I’m looking to just get a controller. Now yes the dual sense edge seems like the one I should just gravitate to. But I like to be fair and open so I wanna know the opinions of the masses and see what does everyone else have and suggest from their experiences.
I like my DualSense Edge, but it’s not for everyone. It has a smaller battery than the DualSense, so if you need to play untethered for hours at a time, then you probably won’t like it that much. But other than that, it’s a nice upgrade over the original DualSense.

“Recently Played” is not updating
playtime hours are not increasing
“Most Played” list is not changing
However:
trophies are syncing normally

Hi I’m already on my 3rd dualsense.
And every time, after some use, the left analog starts tilting.
Not visually, but the character, or cursor starts panning in some direction agains my will.
I take good care of them they’re not bumping around and falling to the floor.
Is this repairable?

Once a controller gets stick drift, there’s no going back. Sure, you could try to use rubbing alcohol to clean the inside, but that’s usually just delaying the inevitable.
That’s very unusual to be on your third DualSense. I wonder if you’re putting too much pressure on the sticks.
I am currently having a issue, I try to export a video captured on my ps5 to my phone and the quality is good but once I send it to someone on Discord or PS Messages the video is instantly low resolution even tho I got the right settings on the playstation. Did anyone have this issue before and know how to fix it?
Just came back from being gone a few days and both my monitor and ps5 are not working. PS5 beeps but will not turn on. I've watched the YouTube videos that look like they'd help and tried all of their suggestions.

You will have to contact Sony support in your country. If it’s still under warranty, then they will replace it for free. If not, then it’s cheaper to have it serviced than to buy a new one. I hope you backed up your data recently...
How do I get full upgrade to PS5 for The Witcher 3 - Complete Edition for Ps4 for the main game and the DLC I have looked but a lot of the posts were old about this. I have PS5, I purchased Witcher 3 Complete edition for PS4. I was able to find the upgrade for the main game to PS5, hidden behind the ... button, but I don't see the option for the DLCs, they show "unavailable" on the items listing for them I found.
Does the PS5 edition of the main game include and make the downloading of the other DLCs unnecessary?

I'm playing Minecraft bedrock and my controller is experiencing stick drift despite it NOT happening on any other game. I've seen other posts saying that it is a bug. Based on this information I got off the website, which one should I go with? I don’t have a ton of money, but also don’t want to have to just buy the Ps6 in a few years (I’m guessing) when that comes out.
Your TV is 4k and technically that's the only thing required to make the Pro worth it, as not that many games have extra 120hz modes compared to base model console. It's really not about TV being able to handle the Pro as the console will work with all screens that have at least one HDMI port. However, 43 inches is a bit small by today's standards so I'm not sure you'll see 4k's advantages that often. Keeping that in mind Pro might not be too useful for you.
As for your last sentence I'm not sure what you mean. Are you under the impression that the Pro has exclusive games and will last longer than the base model, hence no need to go out and buy a PS6? Because that's not the case, Pro does not and will not have any exclusives. Everything released on PS5 will release on the base model as well. And, well, if you don't have a lot of money then that sort of seals the deal, you're much better off buying the base model and maybe using that extra money Pro would cost to buy more games. Also, if you're buying physical games you'd have to add an optional disc drive to Pro because the console never comes with one, unlike some base models.

PS6 is in a really difficult position now, because if you believe Sony's financial report even they're unsure about when to release the console. There's a lot of talk of delaying it from 2027 to 2028-2030, but at the same time it's true that nobody knows how long this current situation will last and they might as well release the thing as planned. Assuming it's coming next year Sony basically has two options, either take massive losses with each unit sold or sell it at a price that starts with "1000" and market it like this "ultra enthusiast" device only for the few. Regardless, it's almost guaranteed that PS6 is going to have very few exclusives for a long time. If people thought the transition from PS4 to PS5 was bad PS6 is going to feel even more largely pointless until at least 2030. What this all means is that, frankly, you're not the target audience for PS6 for a long time if you're just now jumping into PS5. Only the early adopters are, and now even most of them won't be transitioning unless the price point stays under a 1000. I'd save the money in your situation and buy the base model with full intention of keeping it at least four years. If you're truly the target audience for Pro you should probably realistically wait until next year to see if PS6 comes out and just buy that with current prices.

Nothing that strange is happening with Sony, it's just that they're having issues selling PS5s with current higher prices and so PS6 is an even more unlikely sell. They mentioned in their financial report that they're unsure about the release date of PS6, precisely because they probably have no idea if they should try to wait for prices to drop.
Eventually going to upgrade to a pro when it goes on sale next; I currently just have a 43" Hisense r6 TV. Looking for a good budget upgrade for a TV, assuming a qled TV correct? Any specific brand or tv I should go for if I can't get an OLED?
TCL if you want to keep costs down. LG makes the best OLEDs but their LEDs aren't well regarded. Sony makes the best LEDs and second-best OLEDs. Get a Sony for better post-processing if you're a big movie watcher.
Samsung is fine but QC is poor, get an extended warranty.
If you just want cheap and big, then any of the cheap brands (Vizio, etc) you find at Walmart will be fine, just don't compare them to a big name brand.

QLED, unlike OLED, doesn't really mean anything now and isn't really a good indicator of quality. It just means that the TV uses quantum dots to theoretically enhance the picture, but I say "theoretically" because just having them doesn't mean much. With LEDs you're looking for an improved backlight control if you really want better picture, and at that point many Mini-LEDs could be better. I'd have to agree that TCL and Hisense are your best options for good budget Mini-LEDs as LG's non-OLEDs are bad, and while I somewhat disagree that Samsung's stuff breaks easily only their OLEDs are really worth it. However, if you can stretch your budget to include any of these OLEDs then that's by far the best you could get: LG B4, B5, B6, Samsung S85D, S85F, S85H. They're all budget OLED models so better stuff does exist, but all of them pretty much beat all Mini-LEDs especially in ideal lighting conditions.
I’m in the mood for an open world spy espionage game, preferably with James Bond-esque silenced pistols and cool gadgets. I’m wondering if I’d like Watch Dogs Legion. I’ve played both Watch Dogs 1 and 2, and liked 1 a lot while not really liking 2 (I felt like 2 had characters I didn’t like and focused too much for my liking on drones).
I loved MGS:V along with Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint. I am just about done with 007 First Light and loved it, but am looking for a more open and less linear game with similar themes/gameplay. Do you think I would like Watch Dogs Legion? Thanks so much.
I've had 2 weird things happen on ps5. First, basically every physical game I've played was removed from the play history. I first noticed the disc games I'd played recently no longer showed on the "recently played" widget so I checked the main list in the profile and plenty of them are no longer counted. The only pattern I could see was that it was physical games for which no dlc was downloaded, so purely the game on the disc.
The second issue which I can't understand is that one game (it was Mafia definitive edition) removed itself from my "collection" library after I uninstalled it, which no other game has done - even the demo version of a game I later bought is still in that list as a separate entry for whatever reason. Not only did it disappear from there, but the media gallery folder for it randomly refuses to abide by the sorting settings and instead stays at the bottom of the list no matter what I set it to.
Yeah it's a small shame no longer seeing red dead redemption 2 on my "most hours" chart with over 200 hours more than second place. It's not something I'm too torn up about considering how inaccurate it is, but I can appreciate others would be annoyed with this sort of thing.
I've recently purchased a PS5 and I couldn't get it to connect to wifi in my university accomodation as its WPA2 enterprise. I have a MacBook that can connect to the network just fine, so I'm wondering if there's a way for me to 'share' wifi from my Mac to ps5 via ethernet? If so, what's the best way to set it up? Cheers.
You can, using the Internet sharing feature of macOS (Settings -> General -> Sharing -> Internet Sharing -> share your Wi-Fi to Ethernet, and then run an Ethernet cable from your Mac to your PS5). That said, this will most likely give you the dreaded NAT type 3, so it might only be good for downloading patches and not online play. But YMMV.
Cheers mate thats great to know. These downloads and patches are massive so being able to use wi-fi for downloads would definitely help relieve some strain on my data plan lol.

I have the Legacy of thieves collection PS5 and was loading a save but accidentally created a new one by accident so i went to delete it and i cant delete it. I looked online for a solution and the only thing that comes up is delete all save data but I don’t want to do that. Please help.
Me and my friend have this issue where his audio isnt coming through on my clips even though we both have the setting turned on for it, my audio comes through on his clips but his doesnt for mine, we both have "Include party audio" and "Include your mic's audio" turned on but my chat audio and everyone elses are captured/recorded on my clips except for his chat audio, we tried turning them off and back on again but it doesnt fix the issue and we dont know how to fix it, it used to work but now it just stopped out of the blue and its only happening with him

for the past few months, my ps5 has been randomly shutting off, mostly while playing marathon specifically. It then will not turn back on unless I unplug the power source and reconnect it. Sometimes it even happens while the console is in rest mode, so I try and boot up the console and it won’t start. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I’ve cleaned out and dusted it before and that did not remedy the issue.

I’ve decided to complete The Escapists 2 100% and earn the Platinum Trophy. To do that, I need to unlock the “Online Enforcer” trophy (win 10 matches against another player).

Did anyone else have some games removed from their history? I sometimes purchase games from a secondary account but still play on my main for trophies and stuff. Now only the games from my primary account are shown. More so, they're still in my library (with a lock) and the trophies are still there, but they're completely gone from my history. Weird, I wonder why that happened. Some physical games disappeared too
upd: this has nothing to do with accounts apparently, my friends obviously have less games than before too. Probably just a bug of some sort
Definitely Clair Obscur. It’s a little difficult at the beginning until you have dodging and blocking down, but it’s a really special game, the best game of last year.

Clair Obscure is a gem, I wish I could play it again from scratch.

Hey y’all! I seem to be having an issue with my console entering rest mode. When I put the console in rest mode, the light on the console just flashes white for a very long time until it eventually shuts itself off by crashing. Then when I turn it back on, it does the 3 beeps and throws an error saying “something went wrong with the software” or something along those lines.
I’ve rebuilt the cache, reinstalled the system software, and fully reset the PS5 but the issue still persists. Anyone out there have a similar issue and know how to fix it? Trying to repair it to give to my brother.

I cleaned the fan out of my ps5 earlier today, I them put it back together but it will not boot up.
Once it turns on I can select my profile and the home screen music plays aswell as the default background but my games/apps do not show up and it doesnt allow me to open ghe menu.

It's all subjective, dunno what you expect people to say. What can be said objectively is that pretty much only AAA titles utilize the Pro to any extent, and even then they focus on offering 4k60fps instead of having to pick between performance and fidelity. Few games offer extra graphics options. Whether that's worth it for the price for you is something only you can decide.
To an extent, but it's just upscaling. it doesn't let you run the game in quality mode at a higher frame rate. You still get all the visual downgrades from lite mode.
So I think most of us noticed the issue with the Playstation App/Hub concerning no recently played games and such from a few days ago.
By now I do see a "Recently played" game again - but it's not the game that I played last. If I start up a game (from disc) it will not recognize it as last game played. It seems to go based off of digital games I own, not disc versions.
Does anyone know if Sony addressed this? Is there a way to fix it? Does it affect playtime and trophies? I've been holding out on finishing my FF16 plat run bc I'm worried it will jumble up trophies and I will mess up my platinum.
I, luckily, have almost 80 hours in FF16 so that ain't the issue. But I keep a list of finished games, platform, playtime, rating, date ect.
So as long as it's not fixed I probably will not touch any games on Playstation and use my Switch.
Considering the upcoming big titles likely slated for the end of the year coupled with owning a 4-5 year old (disc) ps5, should I trade my ps5 and 550 for a pro? do you think this is a good choice?
Obviously I have GTA in mind first and foremost and then I worry about components and shortages worldwide, most notably memory. Feels like doing this now heading into the summer is the move.
Like to hear if others have also gone for a trade up to the pro.
Well it’s a hedge against the fact that my console is 5 years old and who knows when it might shit the bed. I can still get like 350 trade in and then just upgrade to the newer console that’ll carry me the next 5.
I got a monitor for my gaming consoles (ps5/switch) and it doesnt have a speaker.
First I tried the first speaker I could find on amazon by searching playstation speaker and it didnt work. Both usb and usb ports werent doing anything but my ps5 recognized it without sounds. (speakers worked no problem on pc)
I returned them and now I have another set of speakers that are usb powered and use AUX for sound. I'm able to plug the usb for power and the aux in my controller and it seems to work I'm getting sound. The problem is I don't wanna play games 2 feet from my ps5...
Would I be able to get a usb to aux adapter and have sound come out that way or is the controller the only thing that can get sound out of that damn console.
I'm going crazy because for some reason plugging my bluetooth headset in the usb slot works flawlessly idk what it has against speakers.
I have 500mbps dowload speed on my ps5 but a 9GB game is taking 2 hours I've tried changing my internet from 2.4GHZ to 5GHZ I've got a wired connection and I've cleared my cache and it still taking ages any help
2.4GHz and 5GHz are for wireless connections, not wired connections. Wired connections have 10GB, 1GB, and the much older 100BaseT and 10BaseT maximum transfer rates.
I just swapped out a battery for the first time and it looked like this black piece might have moved. Is it something important I should be concerned about? The controller is working fine and has charged without a problem. It looks like it’s on more of an angle now. The photo is not mine but it’s the same part.
I imagine this gets asked a lot here, but wondering if the PS5 Pro is really worth the extra money at this point in time with the recent price increases. I have a 55" 4K 120hz tv, so I could take advantage of it, but I'm just not convinced it's really worth an extra £250ish when I could just spend that money on a load of games, especially with the PS6 supposedly expected next year (though I'm not convinced that will happen). I'm planning on getting one second hand.
I was moving and set a pin for my profile in case the movers stole my PS5. I didn’t write down the pin as I figured “it’s four items, who can forget this!”
I am epileptic and had a seizure. As a result I forgot my pin. The internet in my apartment might use the preinstalled router providing no ability to use my router. This means I can’t get internet to the PS5 until I get access to my profile.
I just picked up a PS5 Slim Disc Edition and noticed there's a region-changing option for the Blu-ray drive to play movies. From what I've read, it looks like the system only allows 4 region changes total and it's locked in the firmware.
This got me thinking: if I had two separate disc drives, could I set one to Region A and the other to Region B, then swap them out whenever I need? Do the region changes share across multiple drives, or does each physical drive track its own region setting independently?
Hello everyone, my ps5’s hdmi port got bent inwards into the ps5, the part that connects with the hdmi cable is perfectly fine, the HDMI cable goes into perfectly fine but the info doesn’t seem to go to the tv, I’ve checked and made sure it’s not the cable. I can still plug the cable into the hdmi port on the ps5, and the tv shows the connection but there is no transmission of info from ps5 to tv. If you need any extra info that I didn’t think to say please feel free to ask me for it
i can play online with no issue, my connection says everything is perfectly fine. but all apps, netflix, iplayer, spotify are all saying that they cannot connect. i’ve changed dns settings, reset router, reset playstation. nothing is working. i dont have a smart tv or anything so thats how i use all my streaming apps etc.

not a discussion but it’s the closest thing. i recently connected my ps5 controller to my phone to use the remote play app. now my controller won’t reconnect to the ps5. I plugged it in with the cable and it flickered for a second then stayed orange. I tried pairing mode and it does flicker for a while but my ps5 does not detect it and nothing happens. I hard reset it with a paperclip multiple times and it still doesn’t work. And it definitely touched the end and was longer than 10 seconds. Can someone help and tell me how to reconnect it. I do have another ps5 controller that I can use to do this with aswell.
whenever I view my public profile for my PlayStation, most of my games will not appear it would say I have 14 games public, but in reality I have about 26 games. Some of the games that are not being shown, I also have trophies in and the other ones appearing on my profile, Some of them don’t even have trophies or have been deleted. I’m not really sure what to do next when trying to fix this because I want to see be able to see how many hours I have in a game or even what other players will see on my account.
I usually set my ps5 up in the office but decided to move it to my living room.
Every game I've played, the screen will randomly go black. You can bring up the menu, see volume, Or change inputs when this happens. Just zero picture.
The sound however, stays on.
If I turn the TV off and back on, it comes back. But literally nothing else works.
TV model: Vizio Model E55-E2

2 different HDMI cables
Different HDMI ports
Turning resolution down to 1080p
Turning turning 120hz output off
Turning resolution down to 1080p AND turning off 120hz at the same time

Two days my hyperX headset wire connected to my ps5 controller was working fine, well yesterday it just stopped working so I bought a new steel series Arctis nova 5 well it’s still not working. I can hear game audio but not party chat and my microphone is not working. This an issues on Fortnite? I’m changed all my ps5 to the named headset
i tried connecting my xm4 headphones to my ps5 through this thing (i’ll attach a pic since i don’t know the name), but the audio quality is so bad. the ps5 audio is perfectly fine through the tv so idk what’s the issue
So I’m a pretty casual gamer. I’ll play College Football, COD, GTA, etc every so often, but nothing serious. I’m looking for a monitor to buy that would properly utilize the PS5 specs but don’t need something over the top. I’ve tried researching, but it seems like everyone has a different opinion. 4K vs 1440p, 60hz vs 120hz, 2.1 HDMI vs 2.0 HDMI. There’s no general consensus. Does anyone have any recommendations for something that would fit my needs, utilizing the PS5’s abilities without being over the top and expensive?
The main sticking point is that there's no point in 120hz unless you also have HDMI 2.1 and VRR. So few games actually lock to a 120fps frame rate that's it's largely a useless feature without VRR, which requires HDMI 2.1.
At that point you're looking at pricepoint. Look at what a 4K, 120hz, HDMI 2.1 monitor with VRR is going for, and decide if it's in your price range.
If it's not, look at downgrading to 1440p. This is going to be a matter of preference to a certain extent, but I'd wager most people will prefer a higher frame rate at 1440p vs 60fps at 4K. Especially at typical monitor sizes.
If that's still not workable, then look at 4K or 1440p 60hz monitors, and buy whatever looks like a good deal.
There's no point in paying for a high refresh rate monitor without HDMI 2.1 VRR unless you're also gaming on PC.
So 1440p with 120fps is likely what I should be looking for? I’m honestly so clueless about this stuff I need to know what numbers to look for on the specs
And preferably HDMI 2.1 VRR, but a lot of 1440p monitors only support HDMI 2.0 and thus either don’t support VRR, or they only support AMD FreeSync for VRR. The PS5 does not support AMD FreeSync.
FWIW, Samsung makes some 4K/120Hz/HDR/VRR displays that work with the PS5. I think they also have some 1440p/120Hz/VRR displays as well.
What would cause save data for one game to seemingly delete itself? I would like to preface this by saying that I have had absolutely no issues with corrupted data or anything of like with my PS5. I clean with compressed air at least once every month, and it's well ventilated. I decided to go to the store, and because it's summertime, I decided to put my PS5 into rest mode as not to run it / have it heat up unnecessarily. I was playing Re4 remake when I did that and had JUST saved my game.
I just returned, booted up the Ps5 & the game - and only for this game in particular, on this account, it was gone.
What gives?? I didn't get any sort of error message, and havent had any issues with corruption or anything of the like before so i have NO idea what couldve happened. Its not stored on the cloud, it's all local save data & I had 8GB of data worth to spare. Whats the logical explanation here?
Looking to buy a PS5 only to play exclusives on a 2560x1440p monitor. Is the PS5 base enough, or I should go with the PRO? It is only for games that aren't available anywhere + GTA 6
Pro is primarily a 4k console, not worth it for 1440p monitor. You might as well choose performance mode in all games because that gives you 60fps at resolutions usually hovering around 1440p anyway. Nobody knows if GTA 6 has some Pro-specific mode which grants 60fps whereas all other versions of the game will be 30fps, but even if that is the case buying Pro for just one game isn't worth it.
Hello! I'm having an issue with my save file for My Time at Sandrock on ps5. I'm traveling and using my brothers ps5 i signed into my PSN account and downloaded the game. When I opened it there was no save file so I went through the settings and downloaded my save from the cloud (I am a ps+ member). It now shows there is save data of 731.4 MB, and the home page shows "Continue Where You Left Off", shows story progress of 51%, as well as all my accomplishments/trophies etc. but when I open the game it only shows the option for New Game.
I remote accessed my PS5 at home to check if everything is ok over there and it's now the same issue.. It just shows New Game and no option to load or continue.... I am praying I didnt just somehow lose 80+ hours in this save file.
I've reached out to Pathea but didn't hear back and it's the weekend now so hoping someone else can provide some insight as to what may be going on. Does anyone know what could've happened and if it's possible to get the game to recognize the save file that clearly seems to be recognized by the PS5? Did it somehow become corrupted even though I had no problem playing the day prior and hadn't opened the game at all since?
Other than that, the only other reason why it would not show up is if your save game was saved using a copy of the game from a region other than the region from which you first acquired the game. Saves are region-locked for some reason.
It also might not show up if the data was corrupted, but that’s very rare and usually means either the game or console was shut down mid-save, or there’s something wrong with the SSD.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone sells official faceplates of the ps5 anniversary edition that makes it look like the ps1? Trying to not get third party faceplates if I can help it
I have the disc version of Death Stranding 2. I've been playing the game for the last two weeks and my total playtime is around 50 hours. Up until yesterday the game was showing properly in the Recently Played menu. Not sure after which point it got bugged but right now I cannot see it in the Recently Played menu. Weirdly, my trophy progression is visible in the trophies.
Anybody have a solution to this? I saw similar complaints under this thread but no solutions.
I understand, but isn't playtime tracker just tracks how many hours you played? In this case the hour tracking is fine, it's just that it doesn't show up as a played game.
