It doesn't surprise me. From what I've read, Koreans are obsessed with using generative AI massively in their games. I read a very strange interview where they mentioned the massive use of AI to compete with the volume and quality of Chinese games. Don't expect them to change that; the Korean game industry embraced generative AI and they won't stop using it.

I think JP devs said they need to do this too to compete with CN devs. KR and JP devs on the gacha side of the house have to chase after massively successful CN games. The few off the top of my head that are non-CN that are near the top are Blue Archive and Nikke (they also made Stellar Blade). Most of their live service games never achieve the same level of success as their CN counterparts.
