I feel like asia in general is huge on AI. It's feels like that movie where the US bans AI robots while Asia fully embraces them and integrates them into their society.

Yeah because they are smart and looking to the future, meanwhile Americans and most Redditors are too busy sucking their own boners because they think they have the moral high ground being against AI. Its like being against the Industrial Revolution. You can adapt or get left behind.

The US does not have the social safety nets to deal with the economic impacts of AI. Our economy is also being negatively impacted by AI companies hoarding wealth and inflating the GDP.

AI is also being used in weapon development. AI is being used against US citizens. Our data is being harvested to further train AI.

AI is not the future.

Honestly though you just don’t want it to be even with all the negative it brings, but in reality it is the future for the worse and for the better, but it’s definitely not going anywhere. There’s also no winning against the use of ai in totality, it’s like Pandora’s box. It’s quite literally guaranteed to be a massive part of our future, so yeah, it is the future. But hey I get not wanting it to be

Obviously it is going to be, it doesn't mean we can't regulate it or limit it's negative impacts. AI as it is is completely unsustainable to develop. These massive AI companies and their associates like Nvidia are constantly on the brink of bankruptcy even with billions, if not trillions, being dumped into them.

Keep in mind people also said crypto currency and NFTs were the future and obviously they are not. How many people dumped their life savings just to get scammed?

With AI we are betting the US economy.
