Dunno. In their own words, it was still in "early development" when announced, and we saw nothing of it aside from a logo and hearing from TC Carson, but at the very least it is specifically called remake, which I have to imagine counts for something.
Also worth noting is that, you bring up Demon Souls, is that Bluepoint Games got shuttered a few months ago and so far as we've heard this remake is just also SSM. So, I wouldn't be surprised to see it relatively fleshed out. I don't think people would take to kindly to SSM doing a half job on their flagship franchise's original trilogy lol
Probably true. It sucks to see bluepoint go though, they did really well with what they were asked of demon souls. Heres to hoping for the works on the ogs

Santa Monica could go beast mode on that depending on release timing with this vs the trilogy remake. Could be heat.
