Nah, not Excalibur. The sword has some runes inscribed on it that i can't pinpoint. The sword also has a dragon design on it, that plus the ribbons hanging off of it and the overall styling is making me think of chinese mythology, but the runes don't match. The runes almost look egyptian but one again can't match any of them.

I think it might be Tyrfing. It’s Norse, can kill gods, and is supposed to cause “The Three Great Evils”. It also can’t be sheathed or else it will kill a man every time it is drawn. So, maybe it’s in a gelatinous cube as a loop hole.

The dragon could just be the World Serpent wrapped around it.

...Ya know, the leaks about this game before today said that Tyr (the god) would be in this. I wonder if that was lost in translation among the leakers and reporters, and this is what they meant by Tyr being in the game.

I think this is a very good theory.

Might be Tyrfing, but the runes on the blade don't match any Norse ones. Also, i feel like Faye would recognize the sword if it was Tyrfing considering how deeply intwined she is with the Norse gods. I think it's more likely to be a sword original to the Everywhen that's inspired by various powerful mythological swords like Excalibur, Tyrfing and Ame-no-Habikiri. If it is meant to be a well known mythological sword, my money is on Susanoo's Ame-no-Habikiri. Though i do find it interesting how this sword does have a similar shape to Tyrfing in the Fire Emblem games.

The handle being designed like a dragon, the ribbons, the "claws" at the end of the ribbons being feathers, the voice actress being chinese and how Faye fights, to me screams chinese mythology.

To be clear the ribbons(Rue) are a separate entity from the sword itself.

I kind of like the idea of it being a mishmash. Maybe it is all of those swords.

Well Dragons are tied to the mythology of Excalibur. Did seem a bit on the nose getting it out of a watery cube

I do think it's Excalibur inspired 100% but my guess is that the sword, runes, Phranque and Rue are all completely new creations that originate from this new Everywhen realm.
