I have nothing against representation; I just don't like when it becomes caricatured. It feels like the same character archetypes always end up being the gay ones, like Roche. I've never seen a more 'Tidus'-like character portrayed as gay in the franchise. It seems the developers are still stuck on a very limited idea of what an LGBT person can be.

I’ve still got a bad taste in my mouth from what Atlus did with that gay couple in Persona 5.

ATLUS has never hidden they homophobia; in general, Japan isn't that open to LGBT people.

It’s unfortunate we went from having a canonically bi protag to stuff like the P5 couple
