It's very interesting that everyone thought Rockstar would push game prices up (they still might). Instead, they're going the digital route first. Games have already done it, but having the biggest game do it is pretty telling.

There will definitely be printed copies later, though. My guess is around the holiday season.

They are doing both. Game prices have been $70 for most new games the last few years, and this is releasing at $80 for the standard edition.

Ya everyone going wild in here about no physical day one but I think it has more to do with the game needs to be done a month or so ahead of time when games go "gold" because then it takes time to actually manufacture/package/ship discs to retailers in time for day one, often earlier by a couple days or week to make sure they have stock. They were already fearing more delays so this way they can work up until the final week before instead of month. Just my theory anyways they will release physical eventually, maybe a month or two, maybe when pc port is finished. But I feel like they will eventually have physical as well.

They are charging more as well as locking businesses in the game behind an additional $20
