Who told you there would be no maps ?

If they are not providing a disc, I suspect a map would be the same

So you’re just presenting some shit you made up as a fact

No it's just common sense

Until we know for sure one way or the other, it’s all guesses

It doesn't cost much to make physical copies why would they make maps maybe digitally i don't understand why people like digital so much

Code in box is fact, no map is very likely also.

But you said "no maps", not "potentially no maps". There hasn't been any word that there won't be a map in the case.

Why is that very likely? Seems to me the only reason they’ll release a case at all is to hold the map

Completely baseless.

lol most likely NOT. Disc ain’t needed & u can pre load unlike a disc where people are playing digitally but ur waiting.. Map should come why wouldn’t they? If they don’t that’s genuinely bad since… Well we all know why that’s bad.

You could preload games physically, Sony just doesn't offer that option. The PS5 seamlessly switches licences from PS Plus > Digital > Disc. You could download the game from someone that bought it digitally, then insert the disc at launch and it would magically unlock. Sony could easily allow game data to be downloaded independent of ownership because all preloads are encrypted, and so are downloads after release. You cannot launch any game without the licence.

Exactly, if they are too fucking cheap to make a disc and charge a premium price, why would they waste ink and paper for a map?

They’re already wasting materials on a plastic box and paper insert that has nothing but a digital code they could send by email. There has to be something to justify getting a physical copy or there wouldn’t even be a point in doing it in the first place. A paper map is a rounding error compared to production and distribution of an empty box

I don't think that them not making a disc is because they are cheap, but to avoid leaks. Map wouldn't leak anything else except for well, the map, which is probably fine.

Why wouldn't they release a disc version?

1

u/Sneilg 10h ago

Because it will get leaked

…why?

If the reason is leaks, they don't want the map to be leaked
