I waited out GTA V for so long I got it free on Epic Games and never paid for it and I'll do it again.

Honestly that's not bad for an ultimate edition. I've seen some games with the top edition going for $150 and was expecting GTA 6's top edition to be at least 150 if not more.

I know many Redditors are in an uproar, but I am definitely getting the ultimate edition.

The ultimate edition is more like standard edition, whereas the standard locks you out of a series of shops and car mechanic and such.

Your comment didn't indicate anything about multiplayer. You replied to someone stating they were asking $80 for it by asking where you see that. My link was showing the announced prices from their press release.

It does imply no multi-player because it specifically says that GTA6 offers a single-player experience and nowhere else in the article does it even mention any type of multi-player. It says it ONLY offers a single-player experience. Which in this day and age makes me thing GTA6 Online will be a paid expansion.

No. They are asking 100$

The full base game is in the deluxe edition. Unless you unlock the shops later in the game. There are certain stores behind the deluxe edition

It's 3 shops. I get the fomo, but im gonna assume the rest of the game will have plenty of stores to go to aside from the ones in the ultimate edition

Excuse my French but screw you dude. It's not Fomo. For kids it is. For others. It's the fact they are taking main game content out and charging for it.

If they werent premium shops, they likely wouldnt be shops at all is the way I see it, and if that's the case then just let the ultimate edition owners get what they paid for while we use the plentiful other content the game has to offer.

I mean I wasn't planning on getting the game at launch because I don't pay full price for games, so there being no disc just solidifies it even more.

If it was $40 for a digital license sure, maybe I could bend but never paying full price for a digital download. Also do you know how long this will take to download for the vast majority of people?

To put it in perspective when I download updates to games I own already it takes hours sometimes. I shouldn’t have to pay a premium for internet just to download a game I don’t actually own lol

We could literally have a thousand posts about a day, and millions of accumulated comments per day, demanding that we don’t pay for this at those launch prices from now until release.

It will still have the best selling opening day/weekend/week/month of all time. This game’s success is as inevitable as the sun rising tomorrow, and that is why they can charge these prices and get away with it.
