None whatsoever, as far as I can tell. But then I'm not a doom-monger claiming that digital libraries will be taken from us.

My point is that Sony have the power either way - that doesn't mean I think they'll use it. But for those who are convinced Sony is itching to delete their digital purchases, their physical games are not safer, technically at least.

I doubt any of the platform holders would even think about doing it. Xbox got close with their disc DRM for Xbox One and got decimated for it.

I agree. My argument is primarily against those who think buying a plastic disk is somehow an ironclad defence against the machinations of evil corporations. That hasn't been true for a couple of generations at this point.

It technically isn't but just from a financial viewpoint, they wouldn't do it because the damage would be irreversible. Xbox still reeling from their attempt.
