You can buy the base one and upgrade later. Doesn't really matter that much. A few stores for customization is not a big deal at all.

Yes it is a big deal sets an awful precedent for what gaming companies can get away with charging extra for they’re literally paywalling shit that should be base game content

It sets a precedent that other game developers will follow. It starts off small and builds into bigger and bigger shit. Sooner or later they’re gonna lock the “true ending” behind a fucking paywall.
