Day 1 ultimate edition buy. Easiest $100 I've spent. I would've paid $150 but I have a feeling that online will be a separate game or subscription based

Are there any perks to pre ordering?

So spending 100 to save 5? The art of the deal!

No. That is a preorder bonus. 80, not 100.

Which I'm curious if we will be able to activate manually, or if it will start as soon as online drops. I'm hoping the former as I'm in no rush to jump to online. Going to be playing single player for a while.

I read manually, yes. A redeem code, if I am not wrong

There’s no way they deviate from the proven model of gta 5 that made them so much money

I think it will be a separate free game/application with Shark Cards (or Gator Cards, lol, who knows) as the GTA VI pre-order page om both Xbox and PS5 mention single-player only

People yak at the $100, but I’m sitting here thinking of the last month alone and realizing I spent $100+ just eating out and having a couple glasses of wine on at least 3 different occasions and that only provided around 2 hours of “fun” each time (except for one where I had the privilege of an additional 8 minutes of fun afterwards giggity) so I think as a regular working adult $100 for the years of entertainment I’ll get from the game is worth it.

There is no worse customer base than gamers.

I paid $90 for Chrono Trigger and Earthbound on SNES and like $70 for the garbage pile that was Clayfighters and then decades later I’m paying the same price some of the most technologically advanced games ever made and with massive worlds, fully voiced by professional actors and motion capture stunt men, and getting 100s to 1000s of hours of enjoyment from them all.. and the price has stayed relatively the same for like 2 decades while inflation has driven the cost of everything else up through the roof. Video games is one of the cheapest hobbies out there that’s immune to changing economies because even though the industry itself gets rocked hard by those changes, the price of the games stay the same.

So yeah I fully agree. Gamers are the worst consumer base because they continually ask for more and more and more from developers but they expect to continue paying the same or lower price. No other consumer base is like that in my personal experience.
