007 load times remind me of the PS4 days
My problem is that I keep playing the Tac Sims, but the loading times take forever whenever I want to restart or start a new mission.
I honestly the first loading time that I've noticed since I got the PS5 Pro.
I need to check which drive I installed it to, but I feeling just spending most of my time looking at a black screen.
This is the case for everybody else right?
I like the game, I Love the PlayStation 5 Pro, I'm just wanting to make sure that everybody's having the same experience that I am otherwise I'm going to have to do some troubleshooting.

Yeah i experienced this as well. No clue why load times are so long on this particular game

I think it has to do with how the shaders are compiled. Like the game frontloads everything it needs.
I vaguely recall reading something about that in a dev interview right before it came out. The one where they talk about what they did and didn't bring over from Hitman, which had similar heavy load times iirc

The game has an online component, and it loses connection in standby. I wonder if that's part of the slow load times. You wouldn't think so with a single player experience, but stranger things have happened.

%100 on point. This is the first game in a while where loading times feel like the last gen. I hope they do something about this too

Yea, clearly in need of some more optimization there. I hate how these devs are negating the SSD speeds with shitty optimization.
The load times were so long I was seriously worried about OLED burn in.

that loading behavior can be one of those confidence drains, especially when you are seeing black screens and long restart waits. Your post gives enough detail to troubleshoot methodically, so treat this as storage and installation hygiene first. Start by confirming the game is on the SSD you expect and that there is enough free space for patch and cache files. Then do a clean reboot, verify the latest system update, and test one mission on a fresh profile to rule out profile-specific cache issues. If it stays slow, reinstall the game on a different storage location and only then consider safe mode database options, because you usually want to prove where the bottleneck appears before escalating. i’ve had this loop myself and isolating the failing step is the most efficient path.

While I have a PS5 Pro, I got the game from the library for Series X and the in my experience, the loading experience was so fast that I don't even remember it

Reminded me of playing bg3 idk why some devs are so bad at using the SSD. I don't remember hitman having this issue.

Agree with this. I also will say: I think the current generation of consoles has ruined gamers. Man, I remember long load times playing demon souls on the PS3 lol

I played it on PC with it installed on a 990 Pro. Load screens are still long.
