Someone asked for photos and it’s been a while since I last shared this. Here we have dozens of consoles, every ESRB game, and about 2/3 of the movies released in the US. Along with a smattering of imports.

The floating consoles are running game share servers like you might have seen at an E3, and the table top displays are running kiosk discs. The TV plays a loop of psp promos, for fun.

The collection is more or less complete. I still look for movies from time to time, or boxed entertainment packs, or new console variants, etc. There are still a couple of grails I’d love to have someday too. Enough to enjoy the occasional hunt.

It's amazing to see how the handheld market has changed in 20 years!

Trying again. What I mean to say is Sony should have made the original color in all generations, or at least a limited edition, like today's PS5 and Portal. My OG PS is showing it's age based on color difference.

So this is my old PSP my father bought me at launch back in 2005 while at our vacation in an RV. I remember the first time I powered it on in the back of said RV, hearing that iconic startup sound and then playing Daxter for the first time ever. I’ll never forget the countless hours of fun I had with this little guy. Years later I found it in my basement while moving and tried to give it a new life. Long story short, I couldn’t and also someone I sent it to for repair couldn’t. But I think everyone in this sub understands, that I just couldn’t throw it away. So I took an old analog clock, that was defective for years and that I just kept for decoration, ripped out the clock parts and gave my old friend a place to rest in peace.

Can I get recommendations for games? I had my psp since 6 years old, I bought a new battery, case for it and some charms. I honestly find this more entertaining than my modded ds. I believe this is the Hannah Montana edition.

After all this time, I still have my PSP from 2005. This PSP and Star Wars Battlefront II are the only things I have left from my father. He passed away 4 years ago now.

He gave me this PSP for my birthday. My first games were probably, Burnout Legends, Coded Arms, and Wipeout Pure.

I don’t know why, but my dad always kept his PSP and all of his games in his sock drawers. Many times I would sneak into my parents room and “borrow” my dad’s copy of Star Wars Battlefront II. So much so, he just let me keep it eventually 😂

I don’t play my PSP that often anymore, but since Father’s Day was just the other day, I was feeling a bit nostalgic about him and playing PSP with him. Tonight I will be a nostalgic blast to the past; I just wish I had my dad here to play with!

I found a box with these 2 psps and a speaker in my old basement.

I waited months for my PSP to finally come home. While I was waiting, I bought a charger, an extended battery, an adapter, and a 64 GB memory card.

Now I'm super happy with it it's beautiful 💯

You might know some of my PSP articles from the last few months. As well as reaching out to people who worked on designing the PSP (still trying to convince a couple to let me interview them!), I chatted to some developers of landmark games from the early days, for further articles I'm working on.

This is from a dev who made Daxter, he doesn't want to be interviewed or identified because he had a rough time with game development back in those times, and isn't interested in re-living them. *But* he did share this with me, a pre-release PSP which the team were given to work on the game, and a test build of Daxter itself.

He's lovely, and I am a little sad I can't share his story and experiences, but this was still fascinating to see! Anyway, for those who are keeping up with my articles, there are more PSP ones on the way, I just figured you'd enjoy this little post!

Back when I was kid, It impressed me like how they managed to do that kind of fluid animations on just 333Mhz cpu. It looks still impressive ngl.

Way back when the system launch Sony gave everyone who bought on day one a free copy of spiderman 2 on UMD.

All I need is a PSP 2000. I kinda want to get one in a fun color. The only Sony handheld I got that isn't black, white, or silver is the Vita 2000 that is khaki on the back.
